Walk to China (And Back)

Walking seems to get a bad rap re:Weight Loss. But, let us tell you: it works!! Of course, intense exercise is good and necessary. But don’t underestimate the power of taking steps! Physically AND mentally.

Do you take walks regularly? How has it helped?

Loved hearing this! B4 I had my baby I worked out like crazy went to the gym 6 times a week and now with a baby it’s a lil hard to get in the 6 days a week so I try to walk alot with my baby especially I live in a area with lots of hills so it ups the intensity a bit and I absolutely love it!!! Thanks again for everything!! Xoxo Liba

I love walking, I’m recovering from a back injury and it was the first type of exercise that my physical therapist would allow. I’ve incorporated walking into my week by walking to work and walking on my lunch break. It really helps me clear my head.

Hey guys. I do walk back and forth to work five times a week & at times when the weather is now nice in CT my Bff, Michele & I get in 3 mile on my days off. Luv it. Mind u girls I have 2 BAD knees @ 46. Luv ya guys. Finally u hit a GRAND SLAM!

I completely agree that walking is really underrated. My best girl friend is a registered dietician and one thing she stresses to her clients and lives out each day herself is getting those steps in. She puts her pedometer on every morning and sets a goal for herself for that day and I think it is a big help. Thanks for encouraging me to get in some extra steps and to be diligent about wearing my pedometer! It’s the little things that can make such a big difference over time.

I am SO GLAD you posted this video. I tell this to my family (all struggling with obesity) all the time. My mom has had both her knees replaced and yesterday, for the first time in years, she was able to walk up a flight of steps. I’m so proud of her and happy for her….and excited for all the walking she has in her future!!!

Alright! Just had a convo about this post this morning! June goal: Walk a 5k before breakfast. 3.8 is not a bad start to the day and oh so doable! Feeling relieved to because honestly running hurts right now! One thing we currently do is walk after dinner every night as a family. It seems to bring us closer together and if ever we are dealing with a stressful topic we walk through it while we talk through it. 🙂 As always, thanks ladies! Keep the posts coming!

Now that the weather is nicer, I’m trying to get out there and walk more. Sometimes it’s hard to get going, but I’m always glad I did. I’m hoping to get in some hiking this summer too.

Hannah! What a great idea of going for a simple walk when you want to eat at night. This is the MOST difficult time for me. I have lost 130lbs and need some new tips to help me get the last 20ish off and stay off. I am SOOOOOO going to try this! I am so happy I started to follow you on twitter and have now found you two on here! Thanks for all the great advice. I should get up off my butt and do something, I have spent the past 90 mins watching you two!!!!!
