Healthy Faux-Nola

Hi Guys!!! Here’s a fun, healthy snack recipe. Let us know how you like it!!!


1/3 cup plain quinoa
1/2 tbsp chia seeds
1 tbsp honey
1 tsp cinnamon
vanilla extract to taste
2 tbsp raisins
2 tbsp unsalted almonds
cooking spray of your choice

*mix together in a mixing bowl. spread mixture onto a baking pan and put into a 375degree oven for 10-15 minutes….turning the mixture every 5 mins. Once brown take out of oven and let cool for 10 minutes and serve! 🙂

LOVE the new look of your website and am so happy that you will be posting regularly on Wednesdays and Fridays. (I tune in to Ben every M, W, and Fri.) All of the information that you share on health and fitness are really motivating! I particularly like the videos that share recipes, workouts, BL experiences and things you learned throughout your journeys, etc. Congratulations on your three year anniversary. Hey girls!

Just a question for you two. I was wondering if you ate something in the morning BEFORE your work out AND after or just one or the other? And what are some things you eat for a quick, healthy breakfast (this granola looks awesome and so does Hannah’s healthy breakfast) but anything else? Also, do you prefer to listen to music when you work out (like when your jogging) or do you prefer no music. One more fun question, are you gals a fan of Hanson? Yes, as in MMMBop Hanson? 😉 I just want to know what you think! Thanks for all you do, big fan here!

Hi Mal! Ok, if I am just doing cardio in the morning, I eat nothing. If I am doing cardio and weights, I eat a veggie omelet with 4 egg whites and 1 yolk and sometimes 1/2 cup of gluten free oats. If I am really pressed for time, an ezekiel bread english muffin with 1 tbsp of PB and a few berries! If I am on the cardio machines, I like to watch tv at the gym. If I am doing other stuff, it’s fast music! Who doesn’t like, Hanson!! XO, Hannah
