Ho! Ho! Ho!!  Who’s ready for a Christmas challenge??  Let’s not wait till January 1st to get movin’…check out all the details in the video below!

And as an added bonus….

564 replies on “Christmas Challenge!”

I have no problems working out, but for some reason I have issues eating fruits and veggies, so my goal is to eat 5 servings of fruits and veggies a day. I follow you on Twitter, your blog and your FB page.

I love this goal! Fruits and veggies are our friends! Try to find easy ones to enjoy first. Berries, apples, bananas oh my! Also, roast your veggies in the oven with a teaspoon of olive oil and your favorite seasonings and you will become your own chef! I love the simplicity of this goal and don’t forget to support your local farmers market!! xoxo Han – The Veggie Queen

Hannah and Olivia- you two are such an inspiration! I just started following you both on twitter, liked you on fb and am following your blog! My goal starting TODAY is to eat more fruits, veggies and whole grains and then also to work out in some form 5x week! I recently got married (in June) and packed on almost 15 pounds in the last few months! To be raw and honest- I have felt my confidence and my happiness decrease from my weight gain and I hate it! I want my health and happiness back and that is why I know I need to start working towards my goals! Thanks again for all you do to help others win back their health & happiness! <3

Counting calories has literally changed my life. As annoying as it is AT FIRST you will become a calorie wiz in no time. Also, the knowledge you get on food and what you are putting in your body is truly amazing! Who knew I was eating 5,000 calories a day pre-Biggest Loser…Sheesh!
So make yourself the calorie queen and enjoy every calorie you log!
XOXO,
Han

I have tried so many times to lose weight and I just can’t get the motivation I need. This if my first week in years that I have worked out five times a week and that has been incredible, but my eating has not changed. So my goal is to count every calorie I eat every day and by the time January 1st comes a long I want tracking my calories to be easy, fun and a continuous challenge of how can I make my calorie count and where my calories are coming from look better every day. I follow you guys on twitter, facebook and your blog!
Thank you!

AMAZING challenge ladies! You are such an inspiration!!
I’ve lost 32 pounds since May 2011 and am now at 139.6pounds. I’ve been stuck around 140-139 for the last 4 weeks. My goals for January 1st is to be at 135 (further from the 140). That’s 4 pounds, I know I can do it. I’ll keep up with my exercise 5-6 times a week and eat well!!

I follow you guys on youtube. facebook and twitter!! Love you girls!!!

My goal is to continue with my weight loss. Down about 40 pounds since Jan 09. Training for my first 10k thus spring, hopefully a 1/2 marathon in the fall!!

My goal is to eat between 1200-1400 calories and to track it all. Also to work out 4 days a week!

Love you girls! You are such an inspiration!

My goal is to get to the 150s by January 1st! 🙂 I am currently 167.6 lbs! 🙂 I’ve been doing that each month since April 2011, so, that’s my goal! MY BONUS goal is to make it to my 90 lb lost mark! (157 lbs).

Hi, Hannah and Olivia!

I just wanted to update my Christmas Challenge to say….. I DID IT!!!

I didn’t quite make my BONUS GOAL of 157…BUT! I DID make my goal and with a VENGEANCE! 🙂 After seeing a stall the week of Christmas and only a 1.2 and 1.8 lbs on the other weeks of December. The last week of 2011 really kicked butt!! I lost 6 lbs last week!

WOO! Not only am I 158.2…I am only 1.2 lbs away from my 90 lbs lost goal! YAY! So happy! I hope to hit THAT goal this coming Saturday! Thanks for inspiring me and having this awesome challenge! Only 42.8 lbs to go for me until my goal!!! I think I’m doing pretty darn well! 🙂 Happy New Year and I hope you had a Merry Christmas!

Oh, and I’d like to add…not to toot my own horn(ok, maybe a little!) that from Thanksgiving to NYE I managed to stick to my diet 100%, exercise and lose a total of 14.4 lbs! 🙂 DURING THE HOLIDAYS! 😀 So, proud of my accomplishment and I hope it continues! 🙂

MY GOAL IS TO LOSE 10 LBS BY JAN 1ST…IM GONNA DO THAT BY GOING TO THE GYM ON THE ELIPTICAL FOR AN HR EVERYDAY AND DOING SOME WEIGHT EXERCISES…ALSO STARTING A FOOD JOURNAL

HI! 😀 I am a huge follower of you two. Was already following both of you on twitter and liked both of you on fb. Didn’t know you had a blog…but now that I do I will follow that to! 😀

I am 5′ and weight 174 lbs. I have no idea how I got here, and I want to lose the weight before I could be allowed to be on the biggest loser. Although I do love all things biggest loser. 😀

My goal is to use the gym membership I am paying for at least 3 times a week. I am wasting my money not using it. 🙁 I do count calories, although the last week I have not been doing so well. Thanks for your encouragement and inspiration!

God bless.

Great idea! A lot of people wait until the new year! So far to-date I have LOST a total of 143 lbs! I joined Weight Watchers and got moving and I am a devoted BL watcher so every Tuesday night I would drag my piece of equipment out to the tv and work out while I watched the two of you and other contestants on the show! 🙂 This year my husband and I decided to take it to the next level and the day before thanksgiving we joined a gym. First time ever. Never thought I’d be a gym gal, turns out I love it! We have gone 5 days a week, every week since we’ve joined. Now, before loosing all this weight I couldn’t even walk a mile let alone run without getting winded. Now I still have some weight left to loose but I have started busting it on the treadmill and I do SOME running! Right now I am up to running for 2 minutes straight at 5 mph. I know that might sound so small, but it’s HUGE for me!

So MY GOAL IS: to run work up to running for 5 minutes straight! 🙂 You two are awesome! 🙂

I also wanted to add that I gave up smoking! This is partly due to my OBGYN finding cancer in my cervix last year, but the main reason is that my husband and I have been wanting to start a family for several years now (we’ve been married for 7 years)….but I can’t get pregnant because of all the weight I had on me. I am almost 240 lbs now, but when I began I weighed 397 lbs. As you can see, this is built in birth control. Anyway, I just wanted you both to know that I think what you are doing is fantastic and I wish you two nothing but the best!!! ♥

My goal from now to the beginning of the year is do lose 5lbs. I know I need to lose more, but it’s little steps at a time to be able to keep it off. I plan on keeping a food and activity journal to track what I eat and when I eat it and what activities I do, and to track daily. I tend to go for a few days and then forget to write down. I’ve found that when I write the stuff down, I’m more likely to not eat junk because I don’t want to see it written there. I already get about 30 minutes of exercise in daily and want to get that increased to at least 1 hour.

This is such a great challenge. Loved you guys on the show and glad that you are pushing others to get healthy!!!!!

Love Christmas Challenges! My challenge is to finally join a gym – no more excuses! Keep it up ladies and thanks for the motivation.

My goal is to get back in the gym and doing my workouts consistently by planning ahead! I will aim to journal daily as well as schedule a prep day to plan workouts and meals for the week. I think that by doing this I will get back on the right track! Good luck everyone – we can do this!!!

With you two as my favorites on BL11, I decided this year was my year for change. I lost 60 pounds between January and June and have kept it off (from a size 20 to a 10!). I plan on continuing to work out 6 days a week with Sundays off and keep tracking my calories. If I have a day where I go over, its ok I just make sure its only one day. I am keeping my new lifestyle alive by following you and all the other wonderful BL family on Twitter and Facebook and when I have a rough day I turn to you all for inspiration. Merry Christmas girls!

Hey! My husband and I have been losing weight since sept of 2010. He’s lost a whopping 117 lbs and I’ve lost a measly 40 lbs, haha. Well I’ve been stuck at a plateau since May and I kind of gave up dieting and exercising around August out of frustration. I have only gained about 2 lbs back so these next three weeks would be a perfect time to break through my plateau and reach my all-time low, 167! (172 right now)

Oh and my husband has a really cool blog for anyone who enjoys weightloss blogs: http://www.nathanalbert.wordpress.com

I have been trying to get into the gym at 5am before I work at 7 and I have been successful a hand full of times but sometimes I just want to stay in bed. I weigh 220lbs and am 5’2. My goal is to be down to 160lbs and then go from there. So what I am wanting to challenge myself is for the 4 days I work, wake up and be in the gym at 5am and drink more water. That I feel is a good start to reach my ultimate goal. : )

Continuing my weight loss! I’ve lost over 50lbs in the last year, just by counting calories and making sure I get a solid hour of exercise in at least 4 times a week. I’m proud of the fact that I haven’t had to go on some crazy bender diet to lose the weight and to keep it off! Simple diet and exercise does the trick!!

Hi Ladies! I’ve been so motivated by the BL that I’ve also lost 100+ lbs! I have 50 more to go to get to my goal weight. There have been so many life changes and I have so many questions, that I would LOVE to ask 2 or 3 specific things…. SO… My goal between now and NYs is to get 10,000 steps a day on my BodyBugg, to hit my calorie target daily, and to run at least 10 miles a week. (As a bonus I can work on the veggies – but I really want to commit to the other items.)

My goal is to not gain any weight during the holidays. I weighed a couple of weeks ago (and I’ll probably have to lose a little weight now) but my goal is to stay at or under the weight from a couple of weeks ago and then hit it hard in January to start losing! Thanks for all of your inspiration! You are both so beautiful!!!

My goal is to put all my food on a plate and take it to the table!!! No more eating at my computer or in front of the TV. No more grabbing bites from bags, boxes, etc. I will have a moment with my food, at a table, and nothing else will be going on while I’m eating!

my goal is to run 30 minutes each day and lose 20 pounds.hannah and olivia you girls are such an inspiration to me. it shows that with hardwork and determanation you coud get passed any obstacle.im glad olivia won and merry chrismas to both of you and please respond pretty plz…..

Hey, well I am a huge fan of the biggest loser and when you guys where on it you inspired me to become healthier and fitter so I started to run…lost my way for a bit due to placement commitements however i recently joined the gym again and my main aim is to continue going three times a week to try and shift a bit more weight…by January 1st I hope to be down to 9 and a half stone currently at 9 stone 13 pounds! Here goes nothing!! 🙂
Xx

I’ve been doing a really good job of getting to the gym at least 4 days a week. My goal is to get my eating under control & to eat more fruits & veggies. I love you guys, and have been following you both on Twitter & Facebook. You 2 are truly an inspiration!

My gaol is to wiegh in below 299 by january 1st. That means I have to lose 7 pounds. Also to continue going to the gym twice a day.

Such a fantastic idea, girls! I’ve been struggling to stay motivated with the holidays and cold season so this will help! I have 2 goals to accomplish from now until January 9th. The first is to faithfully track my calories in and calories out using my bodybugg system everyday. The second is to drink half of my body weight of water in ounces every single day in order to stay hydrated and healthy this holiday season! Only 20 more lbs to lose until I hit my final goal and I’ve already lost 30! I just needed this second wind of inspiration! Thanks! 🙂

So excited for this challenge! :o)

My goal for Dec. 9 – Jan. 1st is to lose 5 pounds. This means I may send you pictures of my scale, my food tracker, and me sweating it out at the gym. Hope you don’t mind a sweaty stranger.

That came out wrong.

But what won’t come out wrong is this challenge!

My goal is to workout 5 days a week and track my food. It’s the only way I’m successful. Love you guys! I follow you on twitter & Facebook. Roll Tide!!

My goal, beyond counting calories, is to not be burned out on health and fitness so quickly. I usually get frustrated by the process and give up. So, by January 1, I wants to be still counting, still in the gym, and simply being consistent in living a healthy lifestyle!

I think I already follow you both in both places, but am double checking!
Happy holidays!

So I started my “challenge” the day after Halloween! I am determined this year to make it thru the holidays and LOSE weight this year rather than gain it! Since then I have lost 14 lbs!!! Go me! I always start trying to lose weight on Jan 1 and am always heavier than ever each year! I lose about 30 lbs at the start of each year and gain it back plus some before the year is over! I am trying so hard to make a difference! I don’t want my son to have the same issues with food that I had growing up. Not only that but my husband and I are trying to conceive #2 and have been for 8 months now. Hoping that by losing the weight we will finally be able to add to our family! You ladies are such an inspiration!!! Thanks for all you do!!! 🙂

My goals for now and the rest of my life is to continue to eat healthy, making good food choices, continue with my 60 min workouts everyday, switching things up so i dont get bored.and to not worry about what the scale says,i will louse the weight my body wants me to i really dont have a weight goal,I started my journey at 246 and i am now 177,slow and steady is the way to go..love you girls i follow you everywhere, some day i will meet you…luv to all happy holidays.. 🙂

My goal is to weigh in below 299. That means I have 7 pounds to lose. Also to continue working out twice a day.

Thank you so much for presenting this challenge! I’ve just been sitting here like a slug. I lost 40 pounds last year, only to gain back 25 of them. 🙁 My goal is to stop all of the negative self-talk that goes on in my head and to encourage myself to get back on program. I’ve inundated my mind with, “See? You can’t succeed. Why even try?” I can’t live that way anymore. I HAVE to change what I’m telling myself, because I know I can do it! 😀 Your challenge was a huge reality check for me. Thank you!

i love fruits and vegies.especially salads but my problem is staying away from pepsi and actually getting out and exercising.so my goal is to stay away from soda and stick to water and to walk 30 min a day.i weigh 280 and am not healthy.i can hardly walk wout pain and i am only 46.i wanna live.im raising a grandchild thats only 4 i need my life back.u guys r so inspirational.im giving it my all.i will succeed!

My challenge is to be at 150lbs by Jan 1. That’s about 5 lbs and not my ultimate goal, but that will give me the momentum to lose my last 20 in 2012. I already follow you all on Twitter and FB. BTW, your makeup looks fabulous. 🙂

My goal is to quit eating when I am stressed and sneaking to Quik Trip whenever I can for a sprite and reeses sticks.
I lost 85 pounds over 2 years ago, but I still eat when I’m stressed and the things I go to are pop and candy.
I workout everyday and I am fit, but I need to break this bad habit.

I’ve lost 32.6Ibs this year and now that it’s cold outside my motivation has taken a turn. I’m currently 207Ibs, so my goal is to be under 200! I haven’t been in the 100’s in over 6yrs. I’m excited and can’t wait to hit wonderland!!

This is exactly what I need…I keep putting it off till tomorrow but if I don’t start today then I usually don’t follow through tomorrow.
My goal is to run 4 times a week- which starting today would be 13 times!

My goal is to eat healthier & to lose 5 lbs by January 1st. I am already taking part of a running streak! I have pledge to run at least 1 mile from Dec 1-Jan1. I am proud to say I have have been sticking to it!! Love you ladies already follow you on on Facebook & Like you on Twitter 😉 You ladies are a true inspiration!!

My goal is to go to the gym a minimum of 3 times a week until the 1st. And lose 10 pounds. And get over being dumped (ok, not a physical health goal but you need mental health to acheive physical health, right?

Thanks for throwing the gauntlet down, ladies!

My Christmas Challenge goal is to:
-Work out at least FIVE days per week for at least 45 minutes tracking calories burned with my heart rate monitor
-Drink FIVE 25-ounce glasses of water/day
-Eat at least FIVE fruits/veggies at least FIVE days/week!

I follow you both on twitter and like you on FB. 🙂

My goal is to keep my food journal every day for the rest of the year! I’ve recently lost 75 lbs and my food journal really helped but I’ve gotten out of the habit and I’ve stopped losing weight. Time to get going again! Thanks for the challenge, ladies!

My goal for December is to quit smoking. I know…disgusting habit…but the fact of the matter is I started when I was in high school and it’s time to stop. But by me stopping smoking it will help me exercise better and it’s just all around better for me. I’ve got to stop it in order to tackle the losing weight. I’m also ahead of the game because I already follow you guys on fb and twitter (christykg80) 🙂 Can’t wait for ya’ll to draw my name and get to spend 30 minutes with ya’ll!

Have been so inspired by you both – thank you for all your great advice and sharing your story!
I love this challenge because I am absolutely, 100% the person who always wants to “start on Monday” or “start on January 1”. I want to be under 220 pounds by the New Year. This is going to be a real challenge as I am going away for Christmas with friends but I’m confident I can do it! Thanks for this great challenge – these small goals are so important and so great to have a forum to do it in!
xx, f

So I started this challenge I saw online the day before thanksgiving where you have to run at least one mile a day from thanksgiving to new years day. I tweaked it so I have to run 20 minutes a day. I am on day 16 and going strong. I will add to eat raw fruits and veggies at least twice a day, and core work three times a week.

My goal is to run 90 minutes a week. I also will keep track of my calories on myfitnesspal.com.

Great idea, guys! Thanks!

My goal is to work out at least 3 times a week. I have a real problem with full steam motivation and fizzling out. I start a new job next week and have the holidays, If I can do it 3 times a week, then I can make it anytime of year. I love following you ladies and lots of others from last season. It was my favorite season ever. Thanks for the inspiration and all you do to give back.

My goal is to loose 5lbs this holiday season. I need to loose 25 total but since my last baby who is 3 1/2, I’m struggling to get it off! I recentlly starting zumba and kickbox at my local gym and love it. I want to continue to do this and push harder to loose even just 5lbs!! You ladies are beautiful and an inspiration to so many!

My Christmas Challenge has 2 parts. 1=consistantly count calories and 2=get my calorie count to 1500 by January 1st. 🙂 I have lost 50lbs and kept 40 of it off in 3 years (and had 2 babies) and the last 15-20 to get into 1-derland has been a very difficult challenge for me. So by revamping my focus and makin’ my goal smaller and more achievable.

My Christmas Challenge goal is loose 5 pounds by Christmas. The way I plan to do that is to track, track, track, track, track what I eat! I have a problem when it comes to tracking. If there is something that is too many calories or I don’t know the specific amount of calories I will just “pretend” I did not eat it and not track. That is so bad! Also, I plan on not eating and drinking my calories at work. I work at a coffee shop and am surrounded by pastries and lattes. If I can make it through my day without indulging in the goodness of blueberry muffins and 2% lattes I will be a happy camper. My alternative is to bring in my own breakfast such as oatmeal and a banana and make skim/soy lattes instead of regular. I plan on working out whether it is taking my dog for a walk or walking on the elliptical for 10 minutes a day.

I know I can do this! Thanks Hannah and Olivia you girls are such an inspiration to loosing weight and gaining a happy life!

Hey precious ladies 🙂

First off, I am sitting in Starbucks in Union Square watching the video for your Christmas challenge. Hannah, you caught me with a full gulp of coffee in my mouth with the Tebow thing, and I just lost it and received lots of “fun” looks from my Starbucks neighbors. Classic. 🙂 You’re hilarious! I haven’t had the pleasure of meeting you, but have spent some time with your sweet sister and her husband.

Olivia! I hope to see you before I leave. I only have 4 more rides left at SC USQ(Sat-1pm, Mon-8am, Tues 9:30am, Weds 1pm) I hope to see you! Okay, sorry I am filling up the comment box with things other than what I am supposed to be! Haha, forgive me, and now on to the assignment…

I have been on Weight Watchers since August, and the weight is slowly coming off. I am at a total loss of 12.6lbs. I have 5.4lbs left to lose to get to my goal weight! I am hoping and working really hard to have that off by January 1. It is going to be difficult as this is my last Christmas in the USA for 3 years as I will be doing mission work in Africa. So, my family has already begun to pressure me to “enjoy it” because I won’t be having these types of food for a long time. But, things have totally changed since I have been on WW. I don’t “enjoy it” when I am stuffing myself silly with things that do not build up my body. What I do enjoy is eating healthy. I love it. But that is so far from the old me that my family knows that they think I am just making that up. So, my goal is not to succumb to any negative comments they say and lose that last 5.4lbs.

Love you both! You are such treasures and blessings to the world 🙂

My goal is to stick to my workout video, lose 15lbs and learn how to get the calorie counting under control. eating right is hard for me because Im lucky just to eat and feed my kids from one day to another so eating right is really hard when you really dont have the money too 🙁 But this is my goal.

First of all, I LOVE you two! You are such an inspiration to both myself and my clients (I’m a once obese chick turned weight loss coach). My goal is a little different. I had foot surgery 6 weeks ago and haven’t been able to work out like I’m used to to. However, starting today my goal is to do the following exercises every other day through the end of the year.
50 air bicycles
50 squats (I’m weight bearing now, it’s okay…promise)
50 straight leg deadlifts
50 kneeling pushups
Consider it done!

My long term goal is to train for a 5k. I started running in November and decided, why can’t I do this? I run 4-5 times a week and don’t want to stop just because of the holidays and snow outside. I would also love to join a gym. I don’t know why but they are always intimidating to me. Last year I started January 1st weighing 220 pounds and today as I type this I’m weighing 156 pounds. I still would love to lose 14 more pounds. Needless to say I am so proud of the hard work I have put in and the results feel amazing.

Hey girls, I’m right there with ya on working through the holidays for a better self, not after them; on Thanksgiving week I lost 3lbs! So, my goals for the Jan 1st date is to lose 9lbs, ride my bike 5 days a week, and to be able to run 1mile without stopping. Should definitely be doable, as I’ve been losing 3lbs/wk on average, have been riding my bike 3x/week, and have been walking with jogging bursts. Anyways, I’ll update how I’m doing on my blog regularly and will tweet my updates. Love you girls for how you’re using your experience to help others!

What a great idea! I’ve lost 30lbs in about 8 months and currently stuck where I’m at. I work out 3 days a week consistently and adding in another 2 days occasionally. My goal is to add those 2 days in consistently. I’m also adding another goal to that. My office front desk always has the good candy and I just can’t seem to avoid a piece when I walk by. My goal is to walk the back way so I can take more steps during the day and avoid the always calling candy bowl.

One year ago I was 155lbs. and in decent shape. Two months ago I was 130 and the strongest I’ve ever been, running at a faster pace than ever before. Over the past two months I’ve started to slack on the weight lifting sessions (it’s colder out, and darker in the morning so I don’t want to get up and hit the weights) so my goal for the month of December is to start getting weight lifting sessions in (good ones, not just a couple sets of a couple exercises) at least 2 times a week and tighten and tone back up for the new year. I’ve also made it my goal to lose the last 5lbs that are being super stubborn by my birthday (January 23).

Thanks so much for all your inspiration and motivation. You two are amazing!

I have always dreamed of being skinny and healthy. I struggle really hard with keeping motivated and staying on track. My goal is try to run on my treadmill, do the eliptical and workout on my pilates machine for a week straight. When I accomplish that, stay focused and do another week and so on! I love you guys!

My goal is to work out 3 times a week, eat more fruits and veggies and NO more fried foods. I also need to put more water in my diet. I love water but I do not drink enough. I will stick to this.. y’all are my motivation!

This is such a great idea! I’ve had so many January 1st resolutions that didn’t work!
My goal is to count calories and to o to the gym 5 times a week. I’m 5’4” and I weigh around 215 pounds and the worst thing is I’m only 18… I have trouble finding the motivation and the drive to get up and change my life. But now I’m just tired of making excuses and not changing so I really hope this challenge helps me!

Thanks for the inspiration!!!

My goal is to lose 5 lbs between now and January 1st. Short and sweet. I am doing Weight Watchers and have lost 12 pounds so far but want to lose about 18-20 more before goal. I have been much more active and eating better which is often a struggle at first as a working mom of two boys ages 3 and under. I have realized however that I have to make ME a priority!

Loved you two on the Biggest Loser and already follow you on FB and Twitter and enjoy reading your escapades. 🙂 I love a challenge and glad you are doing this!

Cheers!

You ladies are amazing and I’m just in awe of how you’ve changed your lives and your appearance. I’m soo soo jealous!! BUT, I know that with some motivation, I can too do it!! However, that’s my issue… …motivation…
My boyfriend and I signed up for a gym membership in early November 2011 and to this day we’ve only used the facilities twice… I’m ashamed to say it; have you ever had that problem??
My goal is for myself first; to find the motivation I need to get to the gym. I know that its going to be tough with the holidays, AND going back to school, but I have to do it!! My life really depends on weight loss.
My second goal is to be an inspiration & motivation to my boyfriend; as much as I need the weight loss, he could use it too. He has a nice long line of heart problems in his family, and I don’t know what I would do if I ever lost him to that.
We’re avid Biggest Loser watcher, and I myself have actually applied. We’re so thankful that we’ve watched BL11 and BL12 because we’ve been soo soo inspired by everyone’s amazing transformations!!
We’re hoping that 2012 and RIGHT NOW will be the time for US to change OUR lives. Don’t stop what you’re doing, we love ya!! <3

My goal is to fit back into my wedding dress for next September. For our 10 year anniversary, my husband and I would like to renew our vows in New Orleans. I am about 25 pounds away. I hit the gym 4 times a week and have been making really good food choices.

I just established a twitter account (@MegIsGettinFit ) just for this challenge! I’d love love love any time to speak with either of you. Your transformations inspired me to finally get off the couch. I have hired a PT and work out with him but struggle to get my cardio in afterwards. So my challenge is 4 days of cardio a week for 30 minutes.

Hi! Do you ever get tired of hearing that people love you? Because I’m going to tell you again! I LOVE you both and am so glad that you are still SO visible even after the Biggest Loser! Thanks for all you do!

I’ve been doing Weight Watchers also since June and lost 17 pounds – happy about that – but I know it could be MORE if I could get into an exercise routine. So… my goal is to get at least 30 minutes of exercise at least 5 days a week… and to stick to it!

Thanks for all the motivation and Merry Christmas to you too!!!

Hannah & Olivia,

I love you guys & I am so excited to see you have this blog (this is my first time here)! I watched you guys on the Biggest Loser last season, and you two inspired me to get healthy too. I was just slightly overweight (5′ 10″ and 185 lbs), but I wanted to get back to my healthy, happy competitive swimming weight of 150. I started counting calories, and exercising as much as I felt I could fit into my life — I started with around 3 times a week, and now I never miss a day! So far I’ve made it down to 152.6 — so close to my original goal weight, and only 6 lbs more than my husband (who now weights about 147 has ALWAYS weighed less than me). So my new ultimate goal – to weight less than him at about 145. Even just losing those ~30 lbs, my quality of life has improved so much, and now I’m training for a half-marathon in May with my Dad — something I would never have even dreamed of before!

Getting back to the challenge at hand: about a month ago I got out of the habit of diligently counting calories, so my Christmas challenge goal is to start counting them again, trying to keep a deficit of about 500 calories a day — aiming to lose 1lb/week. Hopefully this will be the push I need to lose those last few pounds!

Maybe this is too simple of a goal, but when busy, I struggle with drinking my 8 cups/water day, so that is my goal – to drink 8 cups of water/day between now and January 1st. I have found in the past that this one habit helps me in other health areas as well.

Thanks for this challenge Hannah and Olivia! I love you both, you are so awesome!

I already follow you both on twitter and like you both on FB, that’s how i found out about this challenge! 🙂

Gym (or workout when I’m away from my gym) 6 days a week! I currently go 4-5 but I think the extra day is especially important with all the tempting Christmas food!!! I want to spend the extra day just focusing on running too, trying to take my running to the next level!

Merry Christmas!

I usually don’t care about celebraties, but you guys are so freaking awesome it makes me happy and motivated just to see you talk. 🙂

Right now I’m the heaviest I’ve ever been and I just feel so weighed down and exhausted. I started going to a school with a great gym, but I need to actually make myself go. My goal is to go to the gym AT LEAST 3x a week during this challenge.

Thanks for giving me the motivation to do this! Now when I feel weird about being the fat girl on the treadmill with all the cute college girls milling around, I can just think to myself, “I’ve got a challenge to complete, suckas” and hopefully will get more comfortable there by the end.

P.S. Loving the orignal Charlie and the Chocolate Factory reference! (“Scratch that, reverse it.”)

P.P.S. What was Olivia going to say at 5 min.?? (when she said “OR…!” lol)

My goal is to walk for 1 hour each day. I will do this by walking with my kids in the morning and walking with the whole family in the evening.

I love this challenge. Everyone always waits until Jan 1st to start working on their goals. Every year I always make the same resolution: to lose weight… and every year I have failed. But I am going to take this challenge. I hopefully will graduate in June from nursing school and I would like to not be fat in my graduation pictures. So my goals will be:
-Track calories
-Eat more fruit and veggies
-Work out 4-5 times each week.

I follow you both on facebook and twitter 🙂

My goal is to drink 8 glasses of water every single day and stay hydrated through the holidays! I changed my lifestyle over the past two years, but I have not been drinking enough water! It is my goal to establish the habit of drinking water by January 1st 🙂

Thanks for this challenge-and it comes at a great time! Watching you two on the Biggest Loser really made me see how much damage I have done to my own body. I have began to evaluate what I eat everyday, trying to eat more fruits and vegetables, and a lot less of sweets as well as just snacking. I am going on two vacations between today and January 1st, and being in Nursing school for this semester has taken a toll on my control of snacking! My usual vactioning consists of “relaxing and indulging”-both of which I have done waaaaay too much of! So, for this Christmas season, my goal will be to be more active on my vacations, eat healthier, and believe in myself-retelling myself that I can and will be a healthy person eventually and remind myself that it took 22 years to put this weight on-it won’t come off in one day! Thank you for the inspiration and I will keep you updated with my vacation commitments! =)

My goal is to be able to run a mile without stopping it’s my step towards getting to a 5k because come May I REALLY want to compete in a Warrior Dash or some sort of Mud Run.

My goals, yes goals, are as follows: get off my butt and walk for four miles(I have a 4 mile loop through my city), if it is snowing and I am unable to walk I will do a hour of Zumba, I will drink at least 32 oz of H2O, and I am going to try to eat a small salad(lemon dressing) with dinner. And it starts NOW!

I have a few goals in mind! First I am going I start a food journal so I can track what I’m eating. Second I want to be able to run 4 miles straight. And third I’m going to sign up for a half marathon that is in may!
Thank you for inspiring me!

I watched every episode of BL 11, and I can’t seem to get hooked on season 12. I think it’s because you two aren’t on it! Ya’ll are totally hilarious and I loved watching ya’ll every week! I knew from the start that one of you would be the winners! Anyway, I’ve been on a steady incline ever since high school with my weight. My senior year of high school I weighed 170lbs and slowly throughout college I gained 20lbs. Now, I am 25 and almost 200lbs and it is killing me. Last year, when I was a recent college grad and did not have a job, I worked afternoons and nights at the local YMCA. I started jogging in the mornings before work and lost about 10lbs, I felt GREAT! In Jan. of last year I got a ‘real’ job, (I am a teacher) and quit jogging. I have since gained all that weight back, plus lost my jogging stamina. My goal starting THIS WEEKEND is to get back into jogging. Not only is it good for me, but also my puppy dog!!! (he’s also gained 5lbs since we stopped jogging). Ya’ll are such and inspiration and you both look AMAZING! I hope to look like ya’ll someday! Much love from Texas!!!

My goal is to make sure that I get to the gym 6 days a week and to mix up my work out by taking some classes like spinning, zumba and kickboxing. Also to be sure that I watch what I eat and track it so I don’t over eat. When food will be every where during the holiday season and to make wise eating choices.

I love this Christmas Challenge! This is exactly what I need! I’ll participate and my goal for the rest of the month will be to finally say good-bye to the 7lbs that I’ve been gaining and losing over and over for the last several months. My overall goal is to lose 35lbs. I’m 26 years old, 5’10”, and 179lbs. My twitter name is ( @_casey_marie_ ) if anyone wants to follow me. I’ll follow you back. It will be a great way to lend support & encouragment! 🙂

Hi ladies!!! I’m excited about the challenge! I am a HUGE fan 🙂 I have 2 goals: 1) Count my calories daily on myfitnesspal.com and stay under 1400 calories, with the exception of one day per week; 2) Complete the first 3 weeks of Couch to 5k program. Best wishes to you both and your family for a wonderful holiday!

Sign me up! I have three goals. First, I want to track my food. I honestly do not know how many calories I’m eating even if I *think* I’m doing “good”. Secondly, I’ve been wogging (walk/jog) this past week. It would be a shame to call it actually running, but I’m getting it done #biggirlscanworkout. I want to get my 5K pace under 13 min miles. Yesterday, it was 13:23/mil. Lastly, I signed up for a Groupon bootcamp, and I have my assessment on Monday. In addition, I would like to try one new group fitness class at my gym each week. I get intimidated about going in the classes, but I think I would really enjoy Zumba and the aqua bike/spinning class too. I need to put on my big girl panties and get in there. I’ve got 50-70 to lose. 🙂

I love this Christmas Challenge! This is exactly what I need! I’ll participate and my goal for the rest of the month will be to finally say good-bye to the 7lbs that I’ve been gaining and losing over and over for the last several months.

My overall goal is to lose 35lbs. I’m 26 years old, 5’10”, and 179lbs & my starting out weight was 195lbs. My twitter name is ( @_casey_marie_ ) if anyone wants to follow me. I’ll follow you back. It will be a great way to lend support & encouragment! 🙂

I am a food addict. I love to workout but I eat all my work away. So my goal is to stay between 1200-1500 calories. This will not be easy for me lol!! Thanks for the challenge!!

My “challenge” began in February! I’m down almost 50 pounds! I have run 4 half marathons this year and joined Team for Kids, its a charity that I will be raising money for, for this upcoming ING New Yock City Marathon! I;m totally excited and will be training my butt off, literally I hope!!! 🙂 I follow you guys on facebook and will follw on twitter! You girls amaze me!!

I love you guys so much! I follow you on FB, and don’t Tweet much, but am following you on Twitter as well. I love Christmas Challenges because this is definitely the time of year when things get really difficult. Over the past 14 months, I’ve lost 68 lbs and I would like to get to 75 lbs. For that, I am making it a goal to stay consistent with journaling, hitting the gym 4 days per week, and increasing my strength training. Thank you for this challenge!

My goal is to continue my boot camp style workouts at least 3 times a week. My boot camp is over for this year and we don’t meet again until January 16th, so I want to keep working out like I do in BC.

My goal is to get to the gym 6 days a week. I am going to increase every week by 1 minute on the elliptical. I will be at 60 minutes of cardiovascular exercise by January 1! My nutrition goal is to log everything I eat during this challenge and count calories! Thank you for the challenge!!

I have an issue with this challenge because I do not do facebook. Sorry! I do twitter and of course, follow you both. Does this automatically disqualify me?

Well in the event it doesn’t, I’ll go ahead and set my goal. After reading Jillian’s “Master Your Metabolism” book, I have completely changed my diet. I have lost 20 lbs in 5 months and thats with minimal exercise. I just had major surgery and although still recovering, I have joined a gym and started working out on a more consistent basis. My goal is to start tracking my calorie intake. I have joined myfitlnesspal.com but do not use it as often as I should. I know that calorie counting is key in weight loss so I really need to get better about doing that.

Please let me know if I can still be a part of your challenge. Thanks!

I’d have to say to work out 4 times a week for at least 20 mins each time. Seems as if I talk about it and never make it happen. This is my goal small but hopefully a life changing one.

Thanks for the challenge! Very encouraging. I have struggled with being overweight my entire life. I am so ready to get past this and be a different person. I am tired of feeling like I can’t participate in the things I really want to in life because of my weight. My goal is to make good choices everyday and to workout at least 5 times a week.

My goal is to exercise each day. Wether it is walking, yoga or running I want
To do some sort of Physical activity each day!!!!!

Funny you should mention this today! Yesterday I met a huge personal goal. I ran in a 5k Jingle Bell Jog, my first 5k, and I’ve been running for a while now, but I had a personal best time of 30 minutes! I was proud I jogged the entier way, and keep a great pace for me. I had set a goal a few months back to run 100 competition miles in a years time, so now I’m 3 miles down with 97 to go! In case you are wondering thats 3 5ks, 2 10ks, 2 half marathons and 2 marathons. Yikes!

My immediate goal, however, is to DRINK WATER. Water is pretty much all I drink, with the occasional weekend Coke Zero (limited to 1), but I can’t seem to drink more than 3-4 8 oz. cups in a day. I know I should be drinking more water – especially with all of my workouts, so that is my goal. Hopefully I can report back that I’ve stuck to this.

Thanks for always Challenging us! Merry Christmas!

ps – Hannah, if you just happen to randomly pick me – I’ll try to get Tim Tebow in your stocking! :o) http://www.toywiz.com/collegetebow.html

Your bloopers are insane – ly funny.

I’ve been chugging down more water – up to 64ozs now. My husband and I just signed up for a 10k flight line run January 21st – can’t believe that I’ll be running 6 miles! The more I set goals the harder I work, and when I have to pay to enter the run – you better believe I’m going to crush it!

Sign me up!!! I’m 5’8 and just reached my highest weight of 174. I know I am not extremely overweight but I do not love myself at this point in my life. My goal is NO fast food, NO seconds, and I WILL be at the gym 4 times a week! I love you guys and you are such an inspiration to me!

My goal is to find and join a gym w/ my husband. I have not had a gym membership for about 18 months and have been putting off joining. My husband has NEVER had a gym membership but was recently told by his dr that working out will help releive some of his stress and anxiety so he has finally relented to join. Before he changes his mind, I have got to sign us up!!! I have been trying to get him to join a gym for YEARS so now is my chance!!!!! We each want to lose 50 lbs by memorial day. We will finally b taking our honeymoon that is 3 years overdue and want to look and feel good!!! 🙂

Thanks, ladies, for the challenge. You guys rock!

I’M IN!!!! As of now, I am 5’6″ and weigh about 135 pounds. I was decently healthy about 6 months ago and for reasons that I don’t even know, I let it all go. I was exercising 6 times a week, watching what I eat, and feeling amazing. One day, I just stopped and I haven’t a clue why. So my New Year’s Resolution was to get it ALL back. But, you are right, what is the wait!!??!! So, I am going to incorporate my New Year’s Resolution into this challenge. Here is my resolution ~ I am going to have a new goal every Friday. Each one will build upon the others to help me reach my main goal and become an overall new and improved person in multiple aspects of life. So, starting today, my goal for this week is to cut out all pop and sugar filled beverages.

Good Luck to everyone who is joining in the challenge!

I am so in on this challenge!! I need to get back on plan. I am heading to WW meeting tomorrow morning for my weigh in and I am setting my goal of 5lbs! I am also meeting up with a trainer on Monday morning to get back to the gym. Thanks for the challenge!!

I am19 yrs old, and soon to be a junior in college (intense right!). I have lost around 40 pounds to be at a healthy weight of 130. Ever since losing the weight I have not taken time to enjoy my accomplishments, instead I nit pick at what I think should be better (aka my arms should be more tones or my legs are still too jiggly). I work out 6 days a week and constantly criticize myself for various things. MY GOAL is to learn to love myself, my body, and to understand how successful I have already become in changing my life.

Thanks for this challenge pretty ladies! I needed a moral boost 🙂

Danielle xoxo

You 2 rock! What a great challenge, especially for those of us who are uber-competitive right? Love it! I’ve never really “had” to lose weight…..I thought! Pft…whatever! Yes I do “have” to, want to, will! 30 days in and 14 lbs, 18 inches GONE 🙂 So my goal is 8 more lbs by New Years. I’m a middle Tennessee girl, would love to meet you 2 when you come close! Also love, love, love NYC, so who knows…..maybe i’ll see ya there sometime! Been following this blog on Facebook, and now following you both on Twitter. Keep rockin’ it out!

My goal is to meet you girls! 🙂

My fitness goal however, is to run a 5k! I have lost 50 lbs in the last year and that was partly thanks to running. I run often, but I don’t often run far. The furthest I’ve run is 2.8 miles but mentally haven’t been able to get past that mark. By 1/1/12, I WILL run that 5k! I know I can do it, now I just need to show myself!

Looking forward to meeting y’all 😉

*I already follow you on Twitter and Facebook!

My goal is to be in the gym working out at least 3 days a week. Had foot surgery in August which has not healed as it should. Hoping I can someday get back to spinning class but would be happy with recumbent bike for now!!
I enjoy your tweets— it’s great to see how close you two are. Merry Christmas!!

My goal is to get out of my box and do 2 new classes at the gym, every week. I’ve only done bodypump and I’m in a rut. I want to do more active classes, like boot camp.

This Autumn I refused to wait for the next Monday, the first of the month, and I refused to wait until Jan. 1st. As a result I have lost 8.6 lbs, gotten into ONEDERLAND, and now with New Years around the corner my weight loss efforts will be HABITS and not WISHES. My mantra is “Earn it!” and that is what I have been doing. So for me, this is the PERFECT challenge.

MY GOAL: Lose 5 lbs by Jan. 1st. I will do that by working out 3 x a week, following the Good Health Guidelines, and getting support through Weight Watchers.

What a difference a year makes, your inner beauty and wonderful personalities/sense of humor radiates so strongly. You are both such inspirations! Thank you.

Merry Christmas lovely, beautiful ladies!

I’m super excited about this challenge! I think it’s so true to start working on a healthy you BEFORE the holidays and not after. I started running last February and ran my first 5k in June. Since then I haven’t been running so much. Now I want to get back at it and have decided to sign up for another 5k: Seroogy’s Valentine 5k February 11! I’m very excited to have a goal and now this challenge is going to help me stick with a routine. My goal is to run 3x a week: 2 interval runs and 1 longer run. The other 3 days I will be doing cross training like the elliptical or a Jillian Michaels dvd. I also want to get a strength training routine going because I’m always slacking with that. I know I can do it! Since being on my weight loss journey 2 years ago I have lost 50lbs and am the smallest I’ve been since probably middle school! Good luck to everyone!!

Hi! I am a 22-year old graduate student from Nashville (yayyy Nashville!). I am currently living in Little Rock and getting my Master of Public Service. Because I want to spend my life creating positive community change, I sometimes forget to think about creating positive change in my own life. Like most grad students, I am BUSY and BROKE, which leads to some unhealthy habits.

SO, to wrap thing up, my Christmas Challenge Goal is to use my month-long winter break to practice making cheap, healthy meals! Christmas does not have to be all about calorie-filled casseroles, ham, and butter. I plan to research some great, low calorie and budget-friendly meals to take to my holiday celebrations and continue to make when school starts again in January!

Thanks so much for all of the inspiration, girls! I already follow you both on twitter and I just found you all on facebook and “liked” you (why isn’t there a LOVE button?!)

Happy holidays!

What a great challenge to go along with the goal I have already set. I have lost my first 100 pounds of 200 total to lose and just ran my second 5k. My goal is to run the 5k here in Knoxville on January 1st in less than 40 minutes. My last time was 43:27. You all are both fabulous!

Hi girls! I don’t twitter so I don’t know if I qualify, but I do follow you on FB. I recently started reading the books of a couple of former contestants and have already started losing weight with their tips. I never understood calories until I got an app that was suggested in one of those books. So far it is going great! My goal is just to continue to track calories and lose weight while on vacation the 15-30th.

I hope someday you make it back to visit Peoria! We’d love to see you girls and Ben!

God is blessing others by using you to inspire! I love it!!

my goal is actually to get to my goal weight!! 🙂 to date I have lost close to 30 pounds over the course of 3 years. it’s taken me awhile, and while its been a struggle, its been a positive experience. I too want to be more conscious of my diet by counting calories, drinking more water, keeping up my habit of doing exercise before going to work every morning, and prepping for my 10 miler in the spring!! can’t wait! love you ladies, you both are an inspiration! God Bless 🙂

I Love Love LOVE this challenge. I’ve been trying to think of ways to keep myself going during the holidays. I am really bad about eating healthy during the holidays. I mean come-on who isn’t? So my goal is to eat more fruits and veggies each day. Let’s go with 5 servings per day. On top of that, just a little something extra, I’m going to make sure that I eat a good healthy breakfast on days where I know there is going to be tempting food at events. I’m hoping these goals will pull me strong thru the rest of this month. I’ve defanitely been following y’all on twitter and liked your pages on FB. I’ve been a fan ever since they did the previews of you two before BL. Love you two. Keep on giving us motivation. You girlies rock!

Hi Hannah and Olivia:)
Thanks for sharing your journey with us. It is so good to have a support system like this. My goal for Dec. 9-Jan. 1 and onward is…to follow through and committ to a run/walk program. I’d love to say “to lose 10lbs” or “to stop eating sugar” and so on but I tried that last Monday and the Monday before that and the one before that and the one before that hmm probably all the way back to that Monday back in 2007. So, instead I am taking realistic steps that will lead me to wellness. I actually like to workout and I would like to try running again. Nothing crazy like a marathon but 5 and 10K’s would work for me. And possibly a mini-tri down the road. So today I am committing to follow through on a run/walk program for 30 minutes three to five times per week. I am facing a fear of running in the evening so this will be a good challenge for me. I’ll have my dog with me so he’ll chase off the raccoons and night life that may lurk in the shadows. lol! Kidding! I will be running/walking on my street so it will be safe. Lots of reflective gear too! Thx Ladies! Looking forward to updating you on my progress. Happy Holidays from Nova Scotia, Canada! 🙂

Hannah and Olivia,

Thank you so much for this challenge! I have lost 30 pounds already and would like to lose another 50. I’ve been looking for the “ah-ha” moment to kick my butt back into gear & this will be the perfect way!

Between now and January 1st, I would like to get to the gym 3-4 times a week and do three different classes a week while at the gym.

I am following both of you on Facebook and on Twitter.

Thank you both so much for the inspiration! 🙂

Ahhh! Love it! I already kinda did this for myself! December/January is harder to workout cause of the lack of light so I decided that all Dec (and maybe January) that I would use the stairs not the elevator in my building just to get a little extra activity in there. So far, so good. Well good as in climbing 10 flights of steps every morning and then climbing/descending whenever I have to go the other floors of our company. It’s crazy how much something so little can help! Hoooray Christmas Challenge!

Over the past two years I have managed to put on about 20 pounds, My weight has always somewhat fluctuated but I am not usually this uncomfortable. That being said, my goal is to walk/run a minimum of 30 minutes four times a week, twice on the weekend and twice during the week. My ultimate goal is to feel comfortable in my clothes again.

** I already follow you both on Twitter and have liked you on Facebook. I think you are both wonderful women and both so inspirational, not just in your weight loss but in life. Thank you for paying it forward! : )

Hi, ladies! I love this challenge; thanks for the motivation! For a living, I’m a brand ambassador and I travel across the country for a whole year. As you can imagine, it’s so easy for me just to pull into a Wendy’s and grab something quickly. Because of this, my goal is to start small, avoid fast food and write down my food intake. I want to take control of my health again, and keep up with my mom who has been a superstar with her weight loss journey! Thanks for the challenge. I’ll definitely bring it :)) Happy Holidays!

In 2011, I got serious about running and worked my way up to completing 2 half marathons, which ended up being 2 weeks apart. I was happy that I at least finished but wasn’t crazy happy about my times (3:02 and 3:12). For 2012, I have signed up for another half marathon in March and am setting a goal to run a 2:30-2:45 half marathon. This would be a PR by 17 mins at the least. This means that I have to keep up my running schedule and work in those speed runs so I can get faster and achieve my goal. Love you girls!! 🙂

I am so excited!! I love you girls! Can you say: BIG FAN? Oh yeah! Down to business…

My Christmas goal is to lose 10 pounds between now and January 1st. I am currently doing Power 90 (the Tony Horton – before P90X workout). I think I can do it! Part of this goal is to make sure I do 6-10 workouts per week, and to keep my eating on track! If I complete my goal I will be in ONEderland by NYE! (And we know ONEderland is everyones goal!)

Thank you so much for your constant motivation, I rooted for you ladies from Day 1, and I am SO happy to see you as happy and healthy as you are now! Congrats to you, and let’s kick this challenges butt!!!

Ok. So I’m going to do this Nike + virtual half marathon training program exactly, between now and Christmas, and I’m going to eat healthy between now and Christmas.

http://nikerunning.nike.com/nikeos/p/nikeplus/en_US/plus/?1323203141106/#//coach/

I follow on twitter already but under a different name. Will follow on Facebook!

I LOOOOVE you guys and think you look stunning (did YOU get your eyebrows done??) and I think you should get your own TV show or something. 🙂 xox

I’m giving up the diet coke. I’ve been trying for years…..its hard. I have ulcers in my esophagus from the stuff and still can’t give it up. I actually take my acid reducers with diet coke. I know it’s not about losing weight or eating healthy or exercising more…but I already do those things and I am 10 lbs from my goal weight…I just need to find a way to kick that nasty habit. If anyone has any suggestions let me know. I’ve tried everything.

Before we went on vacation, I was exercising in some way for 30-45 mins every day. I even did it on vacation. But for some reason, once we got home, I stopped, and havent started back. That has been 8 weeks. So, my goal is to get back to working out 30-45 mins 5-6 days a week.

Thanks for the challenge ladies! You are both truly inspirational!

I am a goal kinda girl!! I have worked really hard to lose 70lbs and I have 10lbs. to go. One of my goals for this challenge is to track my calories. If I bite it I write it!! When I write things down the weight seems to come off and stay off. I also want to be present in every day. That means no mindless eating!! In February 2012 ,I am running my 4th marathon. 26.2 with Donna in Jacksonville, FL.(All proceeds go to Breast Cancer Research!) I want to be in the best shape I can for that event. I know I can do it!
Thank you for being such an inspiration. I truly feel blessed to be living a fit life!!
P.S. I follow you on twitter, Facebook and this great blog!!

Hey girls!!! I first want to thank you both for being a huge inspiration to me! I follow both of you on facebook and twitter already and I will continue to do so! I have started my weight loss journey back in october and i’ve lost 13lbs so far!

My goal for this challenge would be to get in one extra workout session each week cause I would love to lost another 5-10lbs before the end of the year!

Thanks for being so down to earth! You girls rock!!

Ok this is a great idea! My biggest challenge is consistency with exercise, so for the challenge I want to exercise at least 30 minutes a day, 4 days a week. I recently started doing Zumba and love it! I hope it makes me get moving more. Usually once I get moving I want to eat healthier, but I’m starting with the moving. I’ve lost 15 pounds in the past 3 months (slow and steady?), but I’ve still got 100 to go. Thanks for the challenge!

P.S. Already followed you girlies on Twitter and now I’ve got the FB pages liked!

Ahhh! I love this challenge. I totally needed a new goal and motivation to get me through the rest of this crazy year!

So I’m a super duper busy girl (3 jobs, school, husband, weightloss, oh and a social life?!) I have lost a ton of weight so far but as you know it’s harrrrrrd. So to stay accountable I will of course follow all my healthy guidelines….but my real goal is to do a video blog once a week to chart my progress during the holidays! If anyone on the internet can see me, I better stick to my guns!

You lovely ladies can follow along here while I work out, eat my weight in broccoli and try to get the rest of this stinking weight off. (Overweight since age 8, hello its been long enough…i’m ready for a bikini)

My goal is to be at my Pre-baby weight by Jan1st! I gained 60 plus lbs while I was pregnant and am just pounds away from getting my body back! Let’s do this!! Follow my progress at megarmstrong.blogspot.com, click on the Mission-Get-My-Body-Back tab at the top to read about my journey!

My goal is to maintain my discipline through the holiday season and not allow myself to slip back into old habits. I’ve been successful maintaining a significant weight loss for more than a year now, but the holidays are always trying. Instead, I will focus my energy on losing the first pounds of the “final 10” (beach body, here I come!).

Goals: Say no (or exercise moderation) to Christmas goodies, lose at least 3 pounds by Christmas, and run a sub-52 minute 8k this weekend (too short term for it to be my only goal).

Happy Holidays!

My goal is to (1) replace all my drinks (iced tea, diet soda and vanilla chai tea) w/ water and (2) start using my treadmill at least 3 times a week. I stole the extension cord for my treadmill for Christmas lights and I have been using that as an excuse. No more excuses………Christmas Challenge…………..Here I Come!!!!

Thanks girls – what an awesome idea to start this BEFORE the holidays!

So I tried at the Jingle Bell Run tonight and came up 20 seconds shy of a PR (24:25 tonight, my PR is 24:06). But, I was fast enough to be deemed “local class” and 10th in my age division which was super competitive at this race. I’m gonna keep trying!

My goal is to join a gym and workout for atleast 30 minutes 4 days a week! I’m getting married in April so this is just the challenge I needed to get me on track! Thanks Hannah and Olivia!

I work a 9-5 office job and it is hard to get motivated but my goal is to get on the elliptical (that we have at home) for 20 minutes 2 times a week. I have no excuse- I’ve just been lazy, but I am going to be conscious of my choices and get on at least 2 times a week for 20 minutes. Sign me up!! Already a Twitter follower (@maria_kovacs) and Facebook fan! 🙂 Love you girls!

My goal is to go to the gym at least every other day for a minimum of 45 minutes between now & Christmas. I also want to challenge myself to drink more water.

Thanks for being an inspiration to women everywhere!!

My goal is to be in ONEderland by January 1st. I’m at 205 pounds right now, so I’m SO close. I know I can reach this goal by the new year. I’ve lost 55 pounds since October 18, 2010. I follow you both on twitter, and I have “liked” both of your FB pages. Thank you for what you do and for being an inspiration. (side note, i’ve been blogging about my weight loss journey, and I wrote a blog about how I’d love to spend a day in Olivia’s shoes. Hannah – i would love to spend a day in your shoes, too. If you want to check it out, here is the link – http://mylifeblogls.blogspot.com/2011/09/flip-flops.html . THANKS!

My goal is simply to drink more water! It makes a huge difference in how I feel and how well I do with my workouts!

It seems that I have a problem getting motivate to exercise, so my goal by January 1st is to take a 10 minute walk everyday with my dogs so I will be able to live in confidence knowing that I am taking control of my health one day at a time. 🙂

My goal is to exercise five times a week, either running on the treadmill, or on the airdyne. I already walk on my breaks at work, but with the snowy/icy weather, I haven’t been doing that. I need to find something to do on my breaks to relieve stress that doesn’t include slipping and falling on the ice!

Hello, hello! I like this. It’s a bonus don’t-give-up-on-the-December-goal-you-already-started motivation! After a lazy, grumpy fall, my goal for this month is to exercise six days a week. I’m telling myself that I want to start walking/running 10km a day, six days a week in January and this is the preparation for that. We’ll see. But, so far, so good! I’ve walked/run an average of 6km (in 65 minutes) every day so far but for three: two were rest days (although on one of my rest days, I walked for 30 minutes still) and on third day, I went snowshoeing for TWO HOURS in two feet of fresh powdery snow, with a bunch of physically fit 20 year olds (I thought I was going to die … I’m older, I’m not the healthiest … but I didn’t). Of course I want all this to contribute to physical health and weight loss but I’m really trying to think of it as an isolated goal so that I don’t get frustrated if I don’t see results on the scale or whatever. I’m still better for walking/running and sweating lots. And, my back had been so sore through October and November … and with exercising on 8 of the last 9 days, it already feels so much better. So, that’s a great start.

Would love it if you “randomly” selected me! (hint hint)
Thanks for the kick in the pants!

My goals –
1. I’m going to re-join weight watchers (love the support)
2. Be consistant, and lose 8 lbs before Jan. 1st

My goal is to be in the 170#s by Jan 1st. I joined WW on Oct. 5 and have lost 12 lbs so far. I’ve been tracking, doing weight workouts and Insanity 3 times a week.

Thank you for the awesome challenge ladies!! My goal is to not miss any of my workouts through the craziness of the holiday season – no excuses! My 4 kiddos, puppy & hubby keep me busy – lots of volunteering at school this time of year, Christmas programs, holiday parties, we all have it! But I know there will be lots of “excuses” or “I’m too busy” that could pop up – but I’m not gonna let it get to me this year! My goal is to not miss these workouts and continue 6 workouts a week w/ Sunday’s off. Thanks for the fitspiration Curlee girls 🙂

Awesome! I recently began goal-setting for myself with that same mentality of REFUSING to wait until January 1. I’ve waited and waited all my life, and I want to stop waiting. I started a blog (although I’m just beginning my journey) because I felt like it was important to openly talk about the struggles I have (since it’s usually done in secret and shame!) You girls were a huge inspiration to me, and I’m exciting about setting this goal with you and others!

My goal: to wake up 1 hour before I need to leave for work (I usually give myself 15 minutes and want to sleep sleep sleep) and to also track all my calories!

Love it!
My goal is to be more healthy in the following areas:
1. Drink more water – 2-3L daily.
2. Eat a bigger variety of fruits and veg, especially veggies!

This is SUCH a great idea! I always wait till January 1st, but the damage is already done…

My goal is to get in at LEAST 30 minutes of exercise each day. Even if it’s only walking the dog in the neighborhood, I want to be up and moving!

My goal is to track everything I am eating and count calories. It seems to be an important first step to acheiving a bigger goal. I already follow you on twitter and fb.

Hannah and Olivia, I have two questions for ya’ll.
1. Are you still counting calories?
2. I see that you have made appearances in many states; do you have any plans of coming to Texas?

We love when you have time to blog and look forward to seeing more!

My goal is to lose 5 pounds by Christmas! Ive lost 85 pounds and went back up about 10 pounds before I reached my 95 pound goal. Im on track and going strong!

Hannah and Olivia!
I am so excited about this challenge!
My goal is to drink 8 glasses of water a day. After the stress of finals I found myself drinking more soda again, so I am trying to cut it out and drink only water!

I’m in!!! My goal for this Christmas Challenge is to continue to workout 6 days a week like I have been all summer and fall, continue to count every calorie which I will actually LOSE weight during the Christmas holiday opposed to gaining 10lbs like I did last year! Thank you for this challenge, this is a great motivation for me as well you 2 in general are a huge motivation for me!! Seriously, since the end of your season I got myself a trainer, started working out 6 days/week and I am down 85lbs! And I’m not done yet! So thank you for motivating me by just being you!!

I already exercise regularly, but whenever my husband, boys, and I go to California for Christmas exercise goes right out the window! I don’t want to be the kind of person who just stops working out when my routine is disrupted. I want to be one of those people who knows they have (and has the self-discipline!) to work out even when I’m on vacation. Therefore, my goal is: to continue working out during the two weeks I’m out of town.

This is a great idea! I previously made a summer resolution that i stuck with and it just an awesome feeling of accomplishment. It was after watching the final 4 episode that inspired me to pursue my summer resolution. Anyway My Pre-new year goal is to lose 9 more pounds. When I reach those 9 pounds then I want to start focusing on body composition. 🙂 Hannah and Olivia, you both are super inspiring!!! Thank you so much for all you do!

I am in! My goal is 100lb by the time I am 50, I started right after my 49th bday and gave myself a goal of 2lbs a week for 52 weeks, I am doing great and my goal is to keep my healthy habits thru the Holiday craziness!

Awesome challange!! The two goals I am committing to are: Eating atleast one serving of both fruit & veggies a day ( I have such a hard time with this!) and trying out a spin class at my gym!

Thanks so much for the inspiration, love you girls!!!

Merry Christmas!!

Sign me up!!! *(I was the 10th person to post, but didn’t type Sign Me Up! I pasted the original message below)! 🙂

Count me in!!!! I’ve already started my goal 2 days ago, couldn’t wait till Jan 1st…..my goal during these holidays is to make better food choices and try to get to the gym at least 3 days a week and train for a 10K. You girls are so inspiring, I”ve enjoyed following you both on your journey!

A few weeks ago my friend challenged me to only eat one serving of a sweet thing a week. I know that the Holidays are hard for me so i am going to continue to do this through the holidays and hope it gets me close to my goal of losing just 5 more pounds.

thanks guys! you are an encouragement to me!!

ps. when i move back home to Iowa (currently at school in Chicago) i am going to teach my parents dog to run with me…that way i won’t have to run alone. Who likes running alone? not this girl!

You guys are amazing! My goal is to run 3 days a week, rain, cold, snow, whatever! And to watch B11 over again for the thrid time because it motivates me!

My goal is to lose 10 lbs by January 1 and work out at least 4 times a week, maybe more! Thank you for all your wonderful inspiration, love you guys!!

My goal is to lose 10 lb. by January 1st I’m tracking calories and working out 3-4 times a week, so it’s doable at my weight. Today I’m 190, so hopefully by January first I’ll be 180!

I got married earlier this year in April then gained back a few LBs (started enjoying those Mai Tais a little too much in Hawaii 😉 )… I’ve gotten re-focused on losing weight & my goal is to be back down to my wedding weight by January 1st– 138 lbs 🙂

You two were my favorites on the BL last season. I all ready follow you guys on twitter and like your Facebook pages. I have been on countless diets, loose the weight and it comes back plus more. What makes it hard is I am a 29 year old emotional eater and turn to junk food. I have a two year old son that needs his mom healthy. I only have 85 pounds to loose to reach my goal weight.
Here are the goals for the Christmas Challenge:
Join Weight Watchers
Stop Emotional Eating
Exercise 5 days a week for 30 minutes.

Thank you for the challenge! I am going to do two things… use the gym membership I’ve been paying for and use the weight watchers online membership that I’ve been paying for! Guess I just love to throw money away… ha. I started using the weight watchers tools again last week and am already down 2 lbs in one week (and 15 total in the last year)! I have a goal to lose 10 lbs by February 4 when we take our Nuevo Vallarta vacation — historically have a hard time losing weight due to PCOS and hypothyroidism, so that feels like a reasonable goal to me. Aaaaand the bigger one is to train for the Crazy Legs run in Madison, WI in April. It’s a 5 mile run, and while I’ve been “running” (if you can call it that) off and on for the last 6 months, I still can’t really run a mile without stopping. So, I will run at least 3x per week this month. Both of these are really to achieve a major goal – to get off of the blood pressure medication that my doctor just prescribed to me this week. I’m doomed to high blood pressure at some point because all 4 grandparents and both parents have it, but I am not ready to give in to daily medication yet! And now I’m rambling…

Thanks for the Fitspiration, and Merry Christmas to you and yours!

Checking back in… I haven’t been doing very well at my goals. I always let something like a work trip derail me. Traveling for a week, not getting much sleep, eating out every meal… I know they are all excuses and I always have a choice. I tried to make healthy choices most of the time but gained 3 lbs and let hat get me down. Instead of shrugging my shoulders, I need to get back on track and just choose to be healthy, and make some real plans to do better on my next trip in January. Like most, I KNOW what I need to do, it’s just a matter of doing it!

I am currently in the process of reaching my goal of a 43lb weight loss by mid Feburary. I want to be 10lbs away from my goal by the new year. I started my journey at the end of June and I have lost a total of 27lbs. My bodymedia armband/counting calories changed my whole perspective on food and I am currently training for my first two 5k races!! By this time next year I hope to have completed a half-marathon. Thanks for the inspiration!!

My goal is a little different. I have been losing weight since this past January. I lost 55 lbs and I am now a healthy weight and I am very physically fit (that is what I am most proud of!!). I would like to lose 3-5 more lbs before January 1st. BUT… my main goal is to learn to be kind to my body. I fill it with TONS of fruits, veggies, and healthy foods and I exercise (hard) 6-7 days a week. However, I have been training for a half-marathon and my shins have been a little unhappy. My hubby (a PT student) told me that if I don’t let up, I will get a stress fracture in my tibia (yikes). I need to learn to listen to my body and I need to learn that shallow-water jogging or spinning classes are an okay way to cross train! I tend to get a tad bit obsessive, so my goal is to learn to adapt and compromise so that my body isn’t overused and abused!

Merry Christmas, ladies!!!!

My goal is to watch the amount of sweets I am eating and not over do it! I’m going to continue with my workouts and maintain my weight through the holidays. I also want to start doing more running but that is currently dependent on the weather. Love you guys!

I love this challenge! Great Idea!

My goal is to track every calorie and to run at least four times a week. I signed up for a 1/2 marathon on my birthday in February. I have been walking daily for almost three months, but I need to add more running to my routine so I can finish the race in under 3 1/2 hours – my other goal.

My goal is to be consistent with my workouts. I’ve been great with cleaning my eating up, but I’m having a hard time doing that and working out everyday. I think it’s a mindset thing. So I’m going to be consistently working out at least 5 days a week regardless if others workout with me or not.

my goal is pretty simple. drink MORE water. maybe get a one of those cool brita things like y’all had at the ranch and just go for it. too much sweet tea for this girl. already follow you guys and and am so inspired by how you’ve kept it up!!

Hey Hannah and Olivia!

My goal is to start choosing healthier foods (i.e. more fruits less bad carbs). Another thing that is going to help with my health is to start a journal, so I can really figure out what is going on in my head! 🙂

Have a Merry Christmas girls 🙂 You are awesome!

I loved your video about the Christmas Challenge! You both looked BEAUTIFUL and both of your hairstyles look a little different now and VERY becoming. I love that your inner beauty shines through such outer beauty now. You are both such special women and I know everyone has said they love you but I can’t help but tell you how much I admire your strength, courage, and integrity!

Christmas is always a little difficult for me because of expectations, sorrow, family issues, loneliness and so on. I think starting this challenge will be helpful in having something positive and healthy to focus on. When my family says I can’t be in their Christmas photos because of the way I look, I will remind myself that I set a positive goal for change and am doing the work I know is right and good for myself. So thank you for the timing of this goal so much!

I have been working on losing weight and gaining fitness for 36 weeks now. I work out a lot! So, while I still struggle with my eating and exercise habits, I think the more critical issue for me to battle is my attitude. I am a special educator and I know the power of attitude because I see it in students overcoming amazing challenges everyday! For this reason, my goal for the Christmas Challenge is a little different, but nonetheless important and helpful hopefully on my weight loss and fitness journeys.

Goal: To lay aside the attitude of fear, self-consciousness, and shame and by laying it aside, be courageous enough to try something new everyday.

There are quite a few things I’ve been wanting to try but my fear, shame and insecurity stopped me. I have read about your Spin classes and my gym has spin but I never tried it. Other examples include running a 5k, trying the rock climbing wall, trying a group fitness class, trying a new food someone told me about that was really health (quinoa?)…and the list could go on and on! I think this will be a hard challenge for me but that’s why they call it a challenge right? As I’m typing this, I’m feeling the fear creeping back in…UGH! I hope I’m not making a mistake….

Thank you again! I’ll keep you posted. I do follow both of you on Twitter (and I’ve tweeted you both often so you probably already have seen this…@jenijj) and I’ll click “like” on Facebook today!

It would be a dream come true to talk to you – hope I win! But even if I don’t, I’m grateful to you, Hannah and Olivia, for all that you are and for all the good that you are doing!

Smiles, Jeni

My new thing for Dec 9th: Tried juiced veggies for the first time and it was great! Kale, spinach, celery, parsley, and apple…YUM!

My ultimate goal is to lose 100 pounds by July 2012. I have lost 27 lbs already, so my goal for Jan 1 is to have lost 10 more pounds toward that goal. My second goal for this month is to do some form of physical activity every single day! Love you girls you’re such an inspiration!

My goal is to get to the gym at least 3 times a week and woman-up and try a class! I am a member at my local YMCA and they offer dozens of great classes and I have been too anxious to try a single one. Hopefully I will find one that I love that will motivate me to continue my weight loss journey. You ladies should do some sort of challenge monthly to inspire us lazy bums! Thanks for the inspiration and Merry Christmas :).

The blopper video was the best ever. Just because of that I am in for the challenge. 🙂

My goal is to track/journal my daily intake at least five days a week for the final three weeks of this month. If you know me, you know this is a HUGE goal. 🙂

Thanks for the chances to participate in this challenge and happy holidays!

Hi Olivia and Hannah!

I am already in the process of working through a “Couch to 5K” program, so my goal is to complete the program by January 1st and then begin jogging regularly. I also want to cut back on eating sweets. The meals and snacks that I eat are fairly healthy, but my sweet tooth is what kills me as far as weight loss goes.

Thank you ladies for being so inspirational, encouraging, and motivating!

Okay, this is kind of lame but my goal is to maintain my weight through Christmas. So far I’ve maintained through Thanksgiving so yay!

Also I need to join a new gym and develop a new workout schedule. My gym, which has been key for me, is going out of business on 12/22. I’ll miss them!

(If you read this, O, I’m a friend of Amy V.L.!)

Mine is doing the sit and fit cause I am over 300lbs. I started today. Ian also going to buy a bike and start riding. I will be having a gastric bypass sometime in 2012. You’re such an inspiration.

I did a Turkey Trot a couple of weeks ago. It was my first 5K and you both replied about my purple shorts. Haha thanks for that by the way! I bragged about it to any one who would listen (and even some folks who didn’t care, haha) for days. Anyway! On with the goal. I completed that 5K in 43 minutes and 18 seconds. Not too shabby for someone who NEVER runs! 🙂
My goal is to run a 5K in 38 minutes or less by Janurary 1st.

PS: I FINALLY broke through by 145lbs barrier. I’ve had a heck of a time trying to get under that. Proud to say in down to 142 from 170. High fives all around!

Go Purple! And GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE WITH YOUR GOALS!!! YOU CAN DO ANYTHING YOU PUT YOUR MIND TO!! Happy holidays, all!

Stay you, God bless – Jen

I have started a goal already with a local running room here where you have to run a mile each day until New Years! So far I have met the goal. In doing this… I am hoping to lose 5-10 pounds before January 1!

You guys have been my favorite Biggest Loser contestants by far!

I feel a little guilty eating a peanut butter cookie while watching that video. LOL! BTW you girls look absolutely gorgeous! I’m at a good weight/fitness level (maybe not after eating that cookie) so my goal is to reduce stress in my life, so I plan to meditate 5 minutes each day. 🙂

This is an awesome challenge…so we can be helathier BEFORE the New Year!

My goal is to lose 5 pounds, which I will reach by NOT giving in to every holiday sweet this year. That’s always my downfall, so I will plan small treats accordingly. I will also stay away from the diet soda…I’ve been really good about it but I know that during the holidays is when I usually backslide on that. Not this year! :o)

Marie
@writerchickmc

My goal is to go to the gym three days a week. I also would love to get my new boby bugg going but I need to wait till after the holiday’s for that. (cost to much right now) But my goal also is to have a healther family life. I love and adore my kids but I get so frustrated with them and tend to yell and get so mad. I want to be a better more understanding mother.
I also want to start eating smaller healthier meals. I had lost 11lbs during the BL at work. And it felt good but now that is over and I have let myself go again. SO I want to lose 5 pounds by Jan 1st or more lol. Thank you guys for being such an insperation for all of us..

Awesome challenge, ladies! Sign me up, please! Follow you both on Facebook & Twitter. Last winter, after being the chubby girl all my life, & after having 4 kiddos, something clicked & I started really tracking my food intake. I’d always been the type to workout, doing spinning & kickboxing classes at the gym, so I shudder to think how many calories I was taking mindlessly munching thru the day.
My thinnest adult weight was 138, after my 1st son was born. But w/ each pregnancy after, I added a bit more. Soon I was about 165 & miserable.
Anyway, I tracked my food thru my phone’s app & did 30 Day Shred…next thing I knew, it was 2 months later & I was down to 140#! But I’ve been stuck here since then.
I have 2 goals for Christmas: 1) Finally break thru this plateau & 2) Not overeat on the days I don’t track my food.
Thanks so much for putting this on!

Hannah and Olivia, you both inspire me so much!

My name is Sophia and I am 20 years old. My starting weight was 269, I am now 258. I started losing in October, but I have not lost any weight for about three weeks–I’ve maintained though. The end of the school semester has been kicking my butt at all hours of the day, but that’s a lame excuse for the way I’ve been eating, and my lack of exercise. My relationship with food is an addiction, and mentally I am still not on track with my goals.

I have two goals. My first goal is to lose 10 pounds by kickboxing at least three times a week and practicing portion control. My second is to tell myself everyday that I’m worth the fight, because if I have no love for myself there is no point in trying to better myself.

A million thanks to you both. You helped me realize that my life is worth fighting for.

With Gratitude,

Sophia

This is the first year that we are having Christmas Eve at our house! We usually go to my parent’s house for the festivities and they roll Old Skool… which means lots of white bad carbs, lots o’ butter and lots of things that although taste delicious, are incredibly horrible for the waistline. SO… My goal for this year is to find healthier alternatives to some of our holiday staples. And because I have some time off with my kiddos this holiday season, I also am setting a personal goal to be as active as my kids (2 and 5 years) because they are amazingly full of energy and I want to match their level of intensity. I see a lot of Snow Angels and sledding hills in my future!

Sign up me! I LOVE the BL PURPLE TEAM!

My goal is to break out of the 190’s (I’ve been hovering gaining and losing for about 6 weeks!) This means tracking, making healthy choices (I’ve been much more conscious about carbs and sodium!) and working out 3-4 times a week. We can do this!! 🙂 Thanks for the challenge, Hannah and Olivia – love you guys!

I will lose 8 pounds so that I can Skype with Hannah, oh ya and Olivia but mostly Hannah! Seriously, the two of you are the best ambassadors for Biggest Loser, ever!

Peace,
T

I want to sign up!
My goal is to work out 6 times a week and really start tracking what I’m eating by keeping a food journal. A year ago I lost 30 pounds and have been hovering around that point since then, so I’d like to start making progress again. I’m a full-time grad student so I don’t always make time to do things that are good for me, so I think a challenge like this is what I need. Thanks for the challenge!

Over the last year I have lost 106 pounds and still have plenty more to lose. So my goal is to be better on watching what I am eating and counting those calories – something in the last couple months that has fallen by the way side. I still work out 4 to 5 times a week, with 2 times being with a trainer, but to continue on with the weight loss, I MUST get on the food control again.

Thanks for the challenge ladies – it is just what we all need to get through the holidays.

Hi there! @greenmachine81 here! My goal is to run a 5k in under 30 minutes 29:59 to be exact. My lowest time has been 30:16. I just turned 30 this year and my goal is to be a beast! Even though I work a desk job I can still haul some tail! Also just want to say you guys look super beautiful on the video OMG! And you inspire me to focus on lifestyle not diet. I repeat this to myself every day ;). xoxoxo

What a great idea for a Christmas Challenge! I am going to weigh in on Christmas morning and be in the ’70’s! (and 25 pounds down!) I am at 24.3 pounds lost so far — I started several days before my 40th birthday in October!) I have just over 40 pounds to go from 64 pounds total. I am also going to run in our local “Resolution Run” 5 km run on New Years Day! Thank you lovelies! All the best to you both! I am a mom to six kids ages 12, 10, 9, 7, 5 and 4! I want to be a fit, and healthy Mom in 2012! You are both so inspirational to me! I am already a follower and a liker of both of you! Cheers! xoxo

Thanks for holding me responsible to the goal I already had in my head. My goal is to work out 5 times this week, and then start training for the Philly Broad Street Run after that.

It’s 10 miles, but I’m going to pretending I’m training for a half-marathon, because my ultimate goal in life is to run a marathon. I started training because of BL8 (9?) and got up to a 19 mile training run before I got a really bad stress fracture in my shin. So now I’m ready to start all over again, and this time, more strength, more stretching, and no injuries!

Thanks ladies, and keep on being awesome!

My goal is to track my food daily, work out 4-5 days a week and I hope to lose 5lbs.

You girls make me laugh…follow you on fb and twitter already. I absolutely LOVE the biggest loser. Wish I was in Mobile this weekend with you (my sister lives in Mobile but just happened to be out of town this weekend, we grew up in the Covenant church in Atlanta and she attends the Mobile church), thanks for the challenge, I love a good competition!

Yall are so much fun! My goal is to work out 5 days a week- no excuses! I have an 18 month old who needs a brother or sister but I want to be in better shape before that can happen! Thank you for being an inspiration!

Gotta say i love this challenge!

Well, this is a tough one to pick though but I want to track my calories more consistently. Sometimes i just get lazy and burnt out so that is my goal, track and stay consistent with my calorie goal. 🙂 thanks for the great support you provide!

Hey girls 🙂

Let me just say that I started watching BL last season, and now I am hooked! You two are just fantastical!!!! 🙂

My goal for December is to:
-finish out the BL challenge I am doing online (My Fitness Pal)…this ends Dec 31st (started back on Oct 1st)
-maintain what I have lost so far (at the least!), and hopefully lose another few pounds (I have lost 75 lbs on MFP since 11/30/11, plus another 10 lbs before I joined MFP-so 85 lbs in a little over a year)
-hit the gym hard at least TWICE a week (I <3 Planet Fitness!)
-try one more new recipe involving a vegetable I haven't tried cooking (I am in the beginning stages of learning how to cook, at the age of 29! haha, but I am trying to expand my cooking experiences) Last week, I made spagetti squash for the first time (I made it similar to chicken parmesan, but used the spagetti squash instead of pasta-it was soooooooooo delish!)

That about sums it up 🙂 Shoot for the stars, right?????

Happy holidays to the both of you!!! much love!!!
-Lyndsey

Ladies! What a great challenge! And one I really need. This last month has been horrible. Being away from family and friends makes me want to hole up instead of heading to the gym. But I know I need this to change. My goal is to go to the gym at least 4 times a week. I know how much it helps and how great I feel when I do!
I like and follow you both!
Thanks for a great challenge!

I am excited to share that I just ordered a BodyBugg from 24 Hour Fitness!! I am going to start exercising more and counting calories! You two are such an inspiration to me!

Thanks for the challenge, sign me up!

My goal is simple…. make an effort to be active every day! I would also like to find a place near me that offers spinning so I can give it a try! Thanks for continuing to be such an inspiration!

Thanks for the challenge ladies! Since January 4, 2011 after giving birth to my 4th child, I decided my battle with weight was going to end! Im down 87 lbs by eating right and working out. I’d like to say that my number one goal is losing 5-10 more lbs which is a goal but my number 1 goal is to view myself, not as the fat girl that I’ve always been, but as the healthier person I’ve grown into. So I’m not sure if that really counts as a fitness goal but regardless, I know that mentality is keeping me from reaching the 100 lbs over-all weightless goal that I set out for a year ago and that is my goal to reach by January 1, 2012

I accept your challenge. My goal (s) are eat cleaner and continue my journey. I’ve lost 12 lbs since Nov. 1st and I want to just finish strong for once and not give up.

Okay…..I was going to begin running again Jan 1st…so I’m starting again tomorrow now. Want to lose 5 pounds by Jan 1st along with enjoying Christmas dinner.

My goal is to look in the mirror every morning for the rest of 2011 and say, “You’re beautiful. You’ve got a purpose. You deserve to be happy and healthy. You’re worth it.” The real goal here is to LIVE like I believe that! 🙂

I was already following y’all on twitter and have LOVED you on fb!
Yay Christmas Challenge!!

my christmas challenge is to loose 8lbs january 1st….I an gonna do that writing down everything i eat, keeping my calories low, and exercising mornings and and evenings 5 days a week.

My Christmas challenge goal is to exercise at least three times a week!

In addition to that goal, I’ve set another one for myself; to log everything I eat for the next 4 weeks. I’m taking it in baby steps, so it sticks, and I don’t get overwhelmed with “forever”!

My healthy Christmas challenge is to stop going to gas stations to pig out on junk food after work. Every day, I leave work and my first stop is to a gas station to buy junk and I have been trying to stop for what feels like FOREVER! In addition, I want to stop snacking after supper for the duration of the challenge as well. So, snacking is my real challenge this Christmas.

I love the idea ladies and can’t wait see how it goes! Good luck 🙂

My main goal is to lose 15 pounds by January 1st but this goal also has other goals attached to it. I want to work out 4 days a week, count calories, and also have a more positive view of myself. I have already lost 65 pounds and I just want to use that as a springboard for this. My ultimate goal is to lose about 30-40 more pounds so I can wear a smokin hot dress for my senior recital in March 🙂
So biscuits, challenge=accepted. I’m ready to rock.

so I’ve already started this goal by counting calories and trying to keep under 1600 calories a day, and in two weeks of doing this I’ve lost about 6 pounds just counting calories. Its super annoying, especially since I’m a chef and all I do is play with food all day long!

So my goal for your challenge is to actually start working out again, going at least 3 times a week if not more for an hour. I hope to lose over 10 pounds by the end of the year which I think is do-able.

Thanks for your great challenge!
-Kat

I’ve been following the 2 of you since your season of BL. Been watching the show since the first season, and I swear when the show comes on, I pig out, on whatever I can find. It used to be really bad, a gallon of ice cream, candy, etc..the nightmare just continued. I still eat during the show, but my choice in foods has changed. Even with all that, I’ve had such a time in my life, physically and mentally getting control of myself and my weight. I pay monthly for a gym membership, that I havent been to in 2 months, because I took myself off all pain meds(major back, spine, joint issues since age 7) because the pain meds werent cutting the pain anymore. I’ve been afraid to work out, even in water, due to the pain. But, Olivia, you responded to a tweet of mine, telling me that your desire to be healthy far outweighed the pain you endured. So, my goal is to go to the gym 3 times a week to start out, and to drink at least 1 bottle of water(I HATE WATER) per day, til Jan 1st(and beyond). Ty for motivating me to accomplish 1 goal at a time( or 2) lol! Merry Christmas!

A couple of weeks ago I hit 360 pounds. I came to the realization that if I don’t change then things will only get worse. I have always struggled going from underweight to overweight and never finding the balance. I need to lose over 200 pounds. So my goal is to take a day at a time.

Two days ago I craved the worst burger at Hardees to the point that I knew I would crumble and go get two of them, plus fries and a diet coke. I wanted that burger so bad. I looked to the right and five steps away was a subway. I walked in and got an over roasted chicken with all the veges instead.

I am staying roughly around 2500 calories per day and trying to exercise when I can. Your challenge gives me inspiration to keep going and know that I’m on the right track.

I want to be better at counting calories each day! I have been exercising 4 times a week consistently since July, so now I want to get my diet in shape.
thank you for inspiring me to be healthier

Hi you two! Love, Love, Love all things BL 11 – has been my favorite season so far. Fortunately, I am at goal! And I have never had a specific goal while losing the 50 extras that I had on me….however, my husband always says it’s good to have small goals so here goes.

I am going to figure out how to fit a new type of exercise in besides the running, eliptical and Jillian workouts I do right now – maybe going to a spinning class a couple of times a week until the end of January.

PS – that took me about 10 minutes to try and figure out……is that weird or what? Thanks for your inspiration and smiles. Follow you on Twitter, am not on Facebook, but I also follow your blog.
Stephanie :0)

My Christmas Challenge is to reactivate my BodyBugg and start wearing it again. I started at 200lbs and I weigh 160 now and I have maintained that for a long time but when I quit wearing by BodyBugg I quit losing weight. My Long term goal is to run a half marathon and do a Spartan race in 2012. Challenge number 2 is to learn how to maintain a healthy diet without getting bored and going back to my old eating habits. BTW Love the Tebow comment lol

Sign me up! I follow you on FB, but I don’t have twitter. I hope that won’t disqualify me.

ANYWAY my goal is twofold. I will meet my goal of 10,000 steps each day and I will stay on program every single day! No backtracking, no cheating, no binging. I will continue to plan my meals and snacks each day and follow my food plan!

Happy Holidays!

I’m in of course! Follow you both on twitter and I like both your fb pages.

My goal goes hand in hand with a challenge I started on December 1. 30 minutes of activity (running, walking, fitness DVD’s, something to get moving) EVERY DAY!! I mean how many times have we all heard that we need to do 30 minutes of physical activity each day and our first excuse is “I don’t have time!” I hope everyone makes time to get some “fitspiration” this holiday season and be active!

My goal is to work out 5 times a week and track my calories. I do great working out one week and then not the next week. I also need to see how many calories I’m eating.

I recently started taking Zija and have lost 30lbs fast. Still have a lot of weight to lose, but I am feeling GREAT! My goal during Christmas is to enjoy the food I want, but be sensible in the amount I eat. There are so many tempting foods at this time of year. But I have found because I am getting the nutrition I need, I am still losing weight!
So thankful that Hannah & Olivia have continued to challenge and cheer people on after they finished their time on Biggest Loser! I remember cheering for them every time I watched! Thank you for keeping us accountable with the Chritmas Challenge girls!!!
Merry Christmas!!!

I did a silly thing and signed up for a boot camp class in December, so my goal is to get through it! I have almost quit twice already (and I’ve only been 3 times…), but the trainer and other participants are so helpful and encouraging. My long term goal is to get down to a healthy weight/BMI so that I can safely have another baby. After a miscarraige last summer the weight just piled on, so now i’m ready to turn it around and get healthy for not only my family, but for me. Body and soul! Thank you for the challenge, I follow on twitter and on facebook (although, i’m not currently on facebook because i’m super busy with my kids during December).

You girls are such an inspiration! My goal is to run 4-5 days per week. It is a form of exercise that I enjoy but have recently I’ve been slacking off 🙁 haha back to business! Thanks for the challenge

Xoxo

Wow! You gals look great and the change in confidence you have now is amazing!!!! Had fun watching you on the BL and love following you now!!
My goal is to workout 5 days a week and make sure that I am drinking 8-10 glasses of water a day. I’m usually pretty good about working out, but lately, it seems to be more like 4 days a week, rather than 5 and my body knows!!! And I am HORRIBLE at getting my water in!! I know how AWFUL diet sodas are for you, but i can’t seem to kick the Diet Coke habit! Getting better by weaning to water or at least a non-caffeinated beverage, but I need to kick it completely!!

My goal is to re-establish my 3x a week exercising with an eye towards making that 4x a week after 1/1/2012. But if I can get myself there 3x a week for the next 3 weeks, I think I can make it 4

I just kicked my Diet Coke habit….used to drink 40-64 oz a day. Now I only have a Diet Coke when I’m out for a special meal. I drink more water and have learned to drink coffee in the mornings for a substitute using coconut milk and stivea.

Thanks for posting this and for encouraging all of us to get going NOW.

So scared. But okay my goal is to keep to 1400 calories a day for the restof the month AND go outside at lunch break to walk for 10 minutes.
I’ve been on Jillian’s podcast and I know I need to lose about 100lbs. Terrifying, but you women a so inspiring. I’m going to stick to this, for me, and for you!

I absolutely despise the treadmill, mainly because it’s the one piece of cardio equipment that is really tough for me. Though, this summer I really got into local 3k runs and was so empowered when I finished. I would LOVE to be able to run those races next year, so I want to get over my fear of the treadmill (or track), and start off slow. So my goal is to go to the gym and jog a mile (jogging between a 12-15 minute/mile pace) 5-6 days a week until Christmas.

Watching this video made me realize how much I miss watching you guys on BL. You really brought a lot of inspiration and happiness to my life.

My goal is to finish my workout class (that ends Jan 1, which I was doing before but quit, so far have been doing really good this time) and to workout/log foods through BOTH my vacations.

I am doing this all alone, so feeling like you two are on my side really helps! Talk to you soon.

My goal is to increase the amount of water I drink to @ least 72 ounces a day and increase my cardio workout by 15 minutes to a minimum of 45 minutes. Thanks for all of your encouragment. As a side note. I will be joining the Murfreesboro get fit challenge with Fleet Feet and BL12 Antone on Janary 16th.

My goal is to lose 10 pounds by Jan. 1st and to increase the amount of water I drink. Y’all inspire me sooo much. For the last couple months I have said I’m going to start losing weight. This video has me motivated.

My goal for the Christmas challenge is to loose 20lbs by the 1st. I have been working up to losing 100lbs by this time next year and so far I have lost a wonderful 16lbs. I know that the holidays are my weakness so this is a huge challenge and I’m so excited to be inspired by such amazing sisters!

My goal is to eat more slowly and really enjoy and taste what I am eating. I always seem to eat too quickly and then over eat or eat more than i should and end up feeling sick afterward. So, hopefully by doing this I will eat less and realize when I am full and when it is appropriate to stop eating. I also think I want to learn how to count calories. I am a dietetics major at school and love learning about all of this stuff and really want to be involved and start helping people learn how to eat healthy, workout, and maintain a healthy lifestyle. Thanks so much for creating this challenge it’s really such a good idea and incentive to start these goals early!!

My goal is to work out at least 4 days a week (most likely it will be a Jillian Michaels video). I used to work out 4-5 days a week, but I’ve been a full time student and working part time so my workouts have really fallen by the wayside. They always make me feel strong and empowered, though, so I’m going to stop making excuses and get more endorphin highs! 🙂

Ok gals, baby steps. My goal for the rest of the month is to keep a food journal to help me be more conscious of my food intake. That is definitely where I get off track; especially this time of year. Who hasn’t said, “One cookie” “One piece of candy” “One more glass of eggnog”? 🙂 Before you know it you’re a plate of cookies and candy and a gallon in! Good luck to everyone in their holiday endeavors!

My goal is simple…to make the numbers on the scale start to go in the right direction. I am having quite a bit of trouble getting the numbers to go down. I found out several months ago that I have a thyroid issue and started taking medication. After eight weeks the medication was just starting to get into my system and I was starting to have more energy and feel more “normal.” Unfortunately, I was in a car accident and had to make the decision between the pain medicine and the thyroid medicine. I am feeling a lot better now and am ready to get back on track. My goal is simple, I want to find some motivation and lose at least five pounds before January 1, maybe then I will gain some confidence back and believe that maybe I can lose weight and get back to normal. I’m tired of feeling worthless, exhausted and as if there is no use trying to lose weight. I will be graduating with a degree this summer and I would really LOVE to lose around 50-60 pounds between now and then. I only hope I can find the right direction to take to succeed.

My goal is have better success battling my sugar cravings. I’m going to set a goal of at least once a day when I feel the need for sugar to do something else: go for a walk, pop a piece of gum, drink a glass or two of water, … Just something other than cave in and eat sugar. There’s enough time that this could be a nice new habit to bring into the new year.

Goal: Continue to count my calories daily. Love the website livestrong.com to make this easy, they even have an app for my iphone. Thank you for this blog, love how silly yet serious at the same time you girls are.

Hey y’all my goal is to have ran my 2 mile loop so I can provide better exercise for/with my dog…who is still a puppy at 15 month old.

So excited for this challenge 😀

I love juices, smoothies and milkshakes. I know those things are not so great for my body but I love them. It’s not that I don’t like water, it’s just that I have a sweet tooth…

So, my goal is to drink less of those sweet drinks and have more water instead. I will also try remember to put a water bottle in my bag when I leave the house. That way I don’t have to buy bottled water when I’m out. It would be a really good habit to have – it’s healthier and better for my wallet (:

Good luck to me!

My goal is to rejoin the gym and attend 4-5 days per week. I love you girls! You are such an inspiration… I hope this will really help to motivate me to reach my weightloss goals. Merry Christmas!

My goal is to exercise at least 3 times per week. I will do this by planning out my exercise for every week. I have fallen off the wagon many times and have been struggling to get back on track. This is just what I needed. I always try to do everything at once and that is part of why I don’t stick with it. I am going to focus on exercise and then when that becomes a habit, I will add another goal.

Thanks for the challenge! You both are so inspirational!

My goal is to lose 10 pounds by January 1st. I’ve lost about 60 pounds since March and I hit a plateau back in September that has been really difficult to get out of. I need to up my exercise a bit I think, but I know my goal is possible! You guys have been such an inspiration to me… I can’t even explain it lol. <3 xoxo

My goal is to drink at a minimum 64 ounces of water a day!!! This is big for me! And I am going to do it!!!

Hey Girls!!

My goal for January 1st is to lose 5lbs and to not eat fast food for at least 7 days in a row!!

I guess that’s two goals technically but they’re two things that I really want to accomplish.

You girls are the best!

Nia

My goal is too eat a healthy breakfast every day. When your in high school, its easy to skip breakfast! But I learned this from a very freaking awesomeeee person, the one and only Hannah Curlee, that good day starts with a good decision and makes it easier to make more of them throughout the day! 🙂

I been following you both on facebook and twitter. You both rock. You gals look amazing. I loved watching you gals on BL. I started losing weight and so far I went from a size 24 to a 16. So my goal is to walk 5x times a week and to do a 5k..

My goal is to determine my favorite combination of neckwarmers to wear on the head and neck to keep warmer on cold winter days.
Maintaining a good amount of body heat on cold days enables the immune system to fight more effectively the bacteria and viruses that are so common during winter.

I watched the video for this challenge this morning and me being the person I am took all day and really thought about what I was going to do. Here’s what I came up with (1) I never drink enough water in the day and it’s really important to stay hydrated so I am challenging myself to drink 8 glasses of water a day. Maybe if I do it now until January 1st it will be such a habit for me that it will seem odd not to have that much water in a day. (Hope it works….I’ve really got to do something about this whole lack of water thing) (2) Being the normal 22 year old that I am the snooze button has become my best friend, therefore I am challenging myself to get up early every morning to go run. I found that I really like to run in the morning but it’s the love hate relationship I have with my snooze button that keeps me from running in the morning.

Just so you both know…..y’all might be getting a ton of tweets talking about how much water I had that day or about my morning running habits. Just kind of go with it. I don’t have a support team so it’s easy for me to fall off the track so until at least January 1st I hereby vote the two of you to be my support team 🙂 Just kidding….you don’t have to be my support team, but you might have to get used to some crazy 22 year old tweeting you on a daily basis

Hey my name is jaime and i am 31. I dont have much of a support team either. So you can follow me on twitter @sweetjme. Maybe we can help each other.

I’m not a runner, but I plan to be when I start my next semester of college. Not only am I finally going to become active and engaged in society, I also am running my first 5k on New Year’s Day, so that means no late night parties. Although my older sister is running a half marathon, which I wish I was at, I am setting a realistic goal of running my entire 5k. It’ll be tough at first, but I think very rewarding.

Thank you for the inspiration.

This past year I really turned my life around because of the Curlee sisters. By doing so I lost 50 pounds and went back into competitive curling! My curling team and I have now qualified for the Junior Provincial Curling championship In Charlottetown Pei, Canada. My goal this christmas is to curl 1 extra hour a day, so when the provincial tournamnet begins on December 29th to January 2nd I will be ready to earn my way to Nationals and be healthy and fit as I do so!! I am 19 and you girls really inspired me to turn my life around. I thankyou very much for that! Here is the link for my curling provincials If you would like to follow me that would be great:) The team name is under Emily Keen.

I guess my goal would be to get off my butt more lol. I am going to start with 3 days a week at work at my lunch walk around the building at work, and at least 3 days a week work out to just dance on the WII.

I just want to really start getting healthy. thank you for your inspiration ladies!

Hi, ladies! Very soon, I will be off on “vacation” for 2 weeks… WOOHOO! Every year (I’m a teacher), I have a hard time exercising during my break. My goal is to exercise at least 3 times a week (from Dec. 19-Jan. 1). This is going to be hard because I am going out of town with my family. However, I am going to pack my gym clothes and try my best to squeeze in those workouts!

Thanks for continuing to inspire me!

Lizette B. 🙂

My goal actually extends a bit past Christmas. I’ve been married three years to the most wonderful man, and he is from the UK and our entire marriage has been long distance. We just recently got approval of the visa’s for he and my step-daughter. Back in May of 2010 I determined to lose weight, and went from 274 down to 215. I got off track for a while and yo yo’d up and down for a bit, getting back to 225 and losing all the great muscle tone I’d built up when working out. My husband and step-daughter will be arriving in the US on Jan 31st. My goal is to be under two hundred pounds when they get here, the fabled One-derland! I’m at 218 now, and doing great so far 🙂 You guys are a huge inspiration to me! Thanks for all you do in paying it forward! 🙂

OMG the bloopers just slay me! I was rooting for you two since day one of BL11 and find you both so inspiring… I mean, fitspiring! I am totally on board for the Christmas Challenge! I already follow you both on Twitter (I’m @backyardyogini) and now on Facebook too. My goal for this month is to be down 10 pounds from where I was in late November. I’ve already lost 4 so I’m on my way! Thank you both for spreading so much joy and inspiration. 🙂

Alright, finally time to get off my butt and DO THIS. I’m a college student so my goal is to lose, just lose something while still stuck with the dining hall for another 3 weeks. Then I’m going to take that and continue it for when I come home for winter break with my mom. We are going to try to give Weight Watchers a shot to help us realize what we’re eating. So hopefully by the time I’m back at school and turning 20 in the end of January, I can not be worried about wearing a HOT party dress, while I welcome in the new roaring twenties decade of my life 🙂

I have an 8 week old baby (plus a 2 and 4 year old) and I still have a good 25 lbs to lose of “baby weight”. My goal for Jan. 1 is to lose 6 lbs of that by going to the gym every weekday…this is a big goal for me because it’s hard to get out the door some days with 3 little ones, and the childcare at my gym is only open from 8-noon. Also, I follow you both on twitter and liked your fb fan page. Can’t wait!

Love you girls!!

My goal is to track that I eat and continue working out throughout the week. More specifically I want to work out 5 days a week all December. My main goal is to loose 10lbs by Jan 1.

My goal for January 1st is to lose 8 pounds. I have already lost 32 pounds since June and I want to make it 40 before 2012! I am so excited to start this goal – I’ve been needing a little kick in the butt to get going again since I am kind of staggering a little.

Thanks so much for creating this challenge and giving me some more motivation to get in gear again! I started off by going to cardio kickboxing this morning!! Let’s all bring in the new year a little healthier and a little happier!

Love a before Jan. 1 challenge!! I am a habitual snooze button hitter, so my goal is to stop the snooze button!! I want to get up early and run on the treadmill before my husband and son wake up in the morning. That way, I can have that time to myself to really focus on my workout. And….don’t have to worry about making time when I get home from work.

My goal is to eat NO Fast Food between now and January 1st (then hopefully kick the nasty habit for the long haul!). I’m going to track my calories, workout consistently and work my best to lose at least 4 pounds. Thanks for the challenge! I accept!!

Hey, guys!

My sister and I have made a commitment to get healthy in 2012 (woohoo!), so our Christmas challenge is to rack up 1,006 fitness minutes EACH by Jan. 1. (That’s a total of 2,012 – appropriate, yes?)

If one of us drop the ball, we’ve got to buy the other a new pair of running shoes, but we’re not even going there. The plan is to celebrate by buying a pair of these really pretty necklaces we’ve picked out that have five tiny rings on the chain – one to represent each of our goals for the new year.

Can’t wait!

Hi Olivia and Hannah, My name is Megan and I am in 6th grade. I am doing a school project on discrimination against obesity and was hoping one of you would be able to answer a few questions for me please… How often do you feel you were discriminated against at your heaviest weight? How do you think we can help those who are obese get healthier? How did you feel when people looked at you at your heaviest weight? How did you know you wanted to start a healthier lifestyle? What keeps you going everyday to stay healthy and fit? Thank you!!!

Hi All, if anyone else on this blog can help with the questions above, please do…
I would like to have this finished by 12/16/11.
Thank You!!!

Hi Megan. This Thread has to do with a Christmas challenge. Have you tried to locate Biggest Loser 11 contestants on facebook? If you ask on a few of their facebook Pages, one of them might notice and respond.

Based on what I know about Hannah, I’ll respond to the two last questions:

She was encouraged to be on The Biggest Loser by her sister Olivia.

One thing that motivated her after The Biggest Loser was input from fans, like getting input about success in losing weight.

Thank you very much for those answers… they really helped me with my project!!! If you find out anymore information from them or any information at all I would really appreciate it… THANK YOU SOOOO MUCH!!!

Hey Ladies! I’m really excited about this challenge! I go to Subway for lunch 3-4 days out of the week, and I order the same thing every time: a wrap with lettuce, spinach, tomato, cucumber, green pepper, onion, oil&vinegar and pepper (no salt, meat, sauces, etc etc — just veggies!) BUT I usually get a bag of chips to go with it. My goal is to get the APPLES instead of the chips and, and a result, cut out the extra 200 calories! This is something I’ve been thinking about doing for awhile now, but never actually did! Having this challeng motivates me to make the switch! I follow you both on Twitter (I’m @kimballs2) and I like you both on FB! You two are such an inspiration to me! Have a great day ladies! 🙂

I accept your challenge, I have lost 62 lbs since
January 4th 2011 and I have a long way to
go not only losing wise, but changing and
minding the way I feel about myself. I have
decided my goal will be to get back to exercising
And to okay myself to LOVE ME! I am so worth it.

I love you girls! You keep me motivated and encouraged. In the last year and half I have lost 70 lbs and have about 15 more to go before I reach my goal weight. I started at 255 and am now down to 185lbs. I ran a 10K in August and a half marathon in Oct. I have become a runner, which for the girl that dreaded “run a mile” day in gym class this is amazing. Biggest loser has kept me inspired and motivated to work hard! My weight loss has been up and down, but I keep going. This month I would like to be down to 180lbs by Jan 1st. It is not impossible. What it means though, is that I have to be consistent in my food and my workouts. Thankfully I am a teacher, so I have a little bit of time off, so I can do this!

Thanks for the challenge!

Hi girls! I just wanted to tell that last season was the first season of BL I had ever watched. I was at a very low point in my life (still not fully out but getting better). I’ve been married only a year and a half and I’ve gained nearly 40lbs since getting married…It’s such a long story…But You girls always inspire me to do something! (And my step daughter too! She loves you guys!) But I’ve different things and never follow through for all kinds of different reasons…But not anymore! I’m challenging myself to get healthy! I’m gonna finish it! My Jan. 1 I want to have lost at 5lbs and cut sugar intake way down! Thats my goal! Thanks you guys for this!

Hey Ladies! Thanks for making fitness and getting healthy so fun! My goal is to make sure I workout at least 3 times per week (if not 5-6) during the busy holiday season so that I can maintain my 20lb weight loss! I still have 20-30 to go but you wanted realistic Christmas Challenge goals so that’s what I did!!! And if either of you know of a good personal trainer in the Nashville area…I’m all ears! And agreed, Tim Tebow ROCKS!!!! I already follow both of you on Twitter and FB so that part’s done! Merry Christmas Y’all!!!

My goal: Complete Jillian’s 30 Day Shred workout 4 times a week.
Thank you so much ladies– you guys are beautiful, inside and out.

What a great challenge. I have a very simple goal – STOP drinking Coca Cola (which I have a love/hate relationship with) and drink at least two litres of water a day.

I would love to say that I will also increase my intake of fruit and vegies (it is coming into Summer here in NZ so there is an abundance of awesome produce). I am hoping this will be a give in. I would also love to say that I will do at least 30 minutes exercise a day – this one will be more of a challenge for me.

I follow you guys on Facebook and here on your blog but just can’t crack Twitter sorry. Also being in New Zealand I am probably a bit far away to send a prize pack too. Thanks for the challenge though, I am hoping to be able to post positive results here on Jan 1st. This is a great way to keep us accountable. Thank you

I am so proud of what you’ve accomplished! Thank you for being such an inspiration to me and so many others! The BL has been such a great motivation. I’ve lost 65lb

I recently joined the BLClub and my goal is to meal plan and use my daily food log. On a side note, I am also striving to follow the fitness plan the BLC gives me.

Thanks for the added incentive ladies!

Hi ladies! Thanks for the challenge–it is just what I need to get started again. I have 50 lbs to lose. I’m at risk for type 2 diabetes. I lost 20 lbs last spring and then found out I have a rare disease for which there is no cure. I stopped exercising, started eating unhealthy, and the 20 lbs came back FAST! Because of my disease, I have to watch my body very carefully to make sure it doesn’t overheat. I’m trying to figure out how to fit exercise back in to my life. I’m taking the challenge to walk 10 minutes a day so that I can hopefully figure out how much exercise my body can handle. I plan to increase the amount and change up the exercising eventually as much as I can. I’ve liked you both on FB and am following you on Twitter @dkquilts. Thanks for the inspiration!

My Christmas Challenge goal is to … hmmm, which one do I want to pick? LOL … get on the stationery bike, and ride my little heart out for 20-30 minutes 3x per week. Exercise is one of things I find hardest to accomplish, but it is the only thing that gets me the results, so this is the one I need to focus on. Thanks for the challenge Hannah & Olivia … BL 11 is still my favourite all-time season.

OK i played half way thru the first video and it poooped on me so i will keep trying to find / play it.. it is invisible now LOL! so from now till 1/1/12 I am going to track my walking on map my walk. I am not going to give a time goal for now. But i am going to try and walk 3X a week. Ihave been tracking- thinking i am doing more and yet i am not averaging 3X a week. I have a treadmill but i would rather walk outside even in MI partly because i have a kiddo w/ special needs and I will be interrupted inside. Just went out.. it is a brisk.. 28F out. But as an added bonus I was able to chat w/ the neighbors. People just don’t get outside enough. And my map my walk gets posted to FB where my ironman sister and my cross fit cousin give me a thumbs up when I post 🙂 that makes me feel good. My picture on FB was recently…”no matter how slow you go you are still lapping everybody on the couch.”

My goal is to eat clean and lean this week. Just went to Costco and stocked up on good food….NO JUNK IN MY TRUNK THIS WEEK 😉

My goal is to attend 3 cycle fitness classes a week. I just started these and it’s because of BL. You guys inspired me so much on the show, I thought – heck I should see if I can try a spin class and who cares if I don’t know what I’m doing the first time? I’ll learn, right. Here goes…

I have a couple of goals that I’m trying to accomplish but one that’s been most difficult has been to not eat out at restaurants (even “healthy” ones!). I was seriously eating more meals OUT than I was IN! I want to be realistic, so my goal is to eat out less than 5 times this WHOLE month! So far, I’ve eaten out once (on Thursday) so I’m doing pretty well! 🙂

I just turned 29 on 11/24 and I cooked a really great Thanksgiving lunch and it reminded me of how much I love to cook. I went for a walk and was thinking about how badly I wanted to lose all this weight (100lbs to lose) and I was trying to get creative on how to set goals and really stick to them. My husband has always been very fit and has offered his help but never really knew how to involve him. This is the plan I came up with:

1. After cooking I remembered how much fun it is to look recipes up and cook food. I’ve been reading Unlimited by Jillian Michaels and I thought, I need to focus/practice on one thing in my plan to lose weight. At that moment, I decided what I am going to practice is: Prepare and eat only what I have planned to eat. This will help me get really good at one thing which happens to have always been my downfall. Check.

2. The second piece is the weighing/tracking of my weight loss. All the sudden it popped in my head, I’ll have my husband weigh me in and I won’t look at the results until 90 days! Sounds tough?! I’ve been doing this for 2 weeks and I’ve been extremely successful. I don’t know how much I’ve lost but know I’m doing well. That way I won’t be discouraged by a small weight loss on any certain week. AND my husband gets really excited about weighing me in which in turn makes me excited as well!!

To make a very long story short, my short term goal is to cook/prep food and not lose control of my eating. My next goal is to lose 30 lbs in 90 days and to lose 90 lbs after one year. I started this challenge with myself on 11/27 and two weeks later, I’m freaking killing it.

I am already feeling great! It’s amazing how I can make really really good food that is not crazy in calories. I’m finally feeling positive and focused knowing I CAN DO THIS! Booyah 🙂

Ok, ladies. I’m in, too, I am pretty much in maintenance stage at this point, but still have this little problem area called the belly, so I think I’m going to make my goal to cut down my sugar intake some more. I have already done this considerably, but I have a slight addiction to the Starbucks skinny vanilla lattes and drink one pretty much on a daily basis. So I am going to limit myself to only 3 a week. Secondly, because that goal is a bit silly I suppose, I’m going to try one new class at the gym each week. I’ve been wanting to try out so many new classes but my shyness has stopped me thus far. Perhaps you girls will get me to actually stop thinking about it and do it, just like you motivated me to finally get off my butt eight months ago and lose those 40 pounds I wanted to lose.

Thanks for the challenge! I already follow you on Twitter (SueC313) and like your pages on Facebook.

Merry Christmas!

I already follow both of you on all social media (I’m not a stalker! Lol). Anyway, my goal is to keep track of my calories and maintain working out/running 4-5 days a week, even when things get hectic! We can’t just let ourselves go completely during the holidays! And to quote my gym’s current poster “People don’t gain weight over the holidays, people who don’t work out do!”. Love you guys and Happy Holidays!!!!

My goal is to drink at least 64 ounces of water a day and also to get my ab workout on every day. It is hard to be at school, especially during finals, and to make it to the gym; however, there is always a small space on my dorm floor where I can plop myself and crunch! Baby steps are better than none!

Love this idea girlies! What a great way to make people accountable during the Holidays and not put off their health and wellness goals until the New Year.

My goal is to loose 5 pounds by January 1st (go from 145 to 140). Thanks so much for all of the inspiration and motivation that you provide!

My goal is to lose about 6-8lbs and only get on the scale once a week. My personal trainer’s goal for me is just to continue to drop weigh no matter what the number is and only get on the scale once a week…LOL! I can be a little OCD when it comes to scale and I place too much emphasis on dropping a certain amount of weight within a certain amount of time. Another goal is to drink more water and eat more veggies and fruits. I fell off the workout bandwagon but have jump back on the past 2 weeks, so I am confident that will continue and I will reach these goals by 1.1.2012!! 🙂 Thanks for being such an inspiration along with all of the BL contestants.

So to go along with trying to shade some pounds this season…and because of this challenge, I decided to register for a 5K yesterday as a spur of the moment thing. It was here in Illinois and it was a Frigid 5K…26 degrees out when we started. It was my 2nd 5K and I ran it just under 32 minutes. I was happy since I didn’t train for it at all and did it last minute like! 🙂 Thanks to both of you, Olivia and Hannah, for being a part of my motivation for fitness!

I have tried so many times to eat right, exercise, and be healthy! I start off great but never finish anything. After hearing ya’ll speak in Mobile @Covenant Christian Church, all that has to change. Both of you said something that will always be with me and should have been with me. We should all “hunger” for God and not food. All we need is Him. My goal is to start & FINISH a healthy eating, exercising, and daily walk with God! Thank you so much!
Oh…I almost forgot! I follow both of you on Twitter and I am a fan of both fan pages on FB.

My goal is to give myself a break from all the negative body image thoughts I have on a daily basis. Stop stressing out about weight gain and live life to the fullest by being active outdoors.

My goal for December is to be able to run a mile in under 14 minutes. I can currently run/walk 14 min 44 secs. I watched the Biggest Loser the other day and was so motivated by the marathon that now I want to run a 10 mile race in October. Small steps and I can do it, and lose this weight! Thanks for the inspiration!!

My boyfriend and I have been trying to become healthier as far as eating and working out (we’re both in the restaurant/hospitality industry so a “normal” schedule is sometimes tricky to figure out). He already had a gym membership and I purchased a one month membership to try this specific gym out and we are going to work out together 4 days a week. I think it is definitely something we will be able to do together and it will allow us to be healthier and more active- and we will also get to Spend more time together!

I am doing a pretty good job with the exercise and food lately, but I need to do much better with my water intake. My goal is to drink no less than 64 ounces of water a day. I was already following you both in Twitter and I now like both of your Facebook pages.

Hey ya’ll I want in on some of this action.
I already follow you ladies on twitter and have been “fans” on fb since your season was airing.
So my goal is to hit Onederland by the new year. You ladies inspired me so much this past year, I related to you two so much I ended up bawling my eyes every week. I decided there and then I was going to change my life so far Im 50 pounds down and about 6 pounds from the Onederland! Im working hard to get there before the new year and hit my goal by my 30th bday in march!

Hi. Great challenge! My goal is to get my training and eating routine back. After a long time of determination and over 20 pounds lost I’ve lost my motivation and got back into my old patterns, but not anymore!

Greetings from London! I am such a huge fan of you girls and you girls inspire me so much. I am doing my first half-marathon in May after finishing two 10K races earlier this year – so to take part in this Christmas Challenge I will run 26.2 miles before 1st January! I have been following you girls on Twitter and Facebook for a long time now, you are the best!

I am running my very FIRST 5K in exactly a week! I decided my goal is to do it in less than 38 minutes. As I’ve been training for this all fall it’s been crazy to see how more and more achievable it becomes … such a mental game!

Ok lets try this again. The joys of trying to type this on a cellphone lol! First off thank you both for creating this wonderful challenge. It has encouraged me to stop procrastinating on something I have been talking about doing but not actually started. My goal is to do At LEAST 15mins of workout exercise a day (to tone mainly b/c my weight is comprobable to my height) and to drink more water in a day as well…I was really good at it and then I fell off the water wagon (time to jump back on). Thank you both for being such wonderful role models and continuing to support and celebrate your supporters successes (as we celebrate yours!)

I LOVE this! I needed a little extra boost at this point- my goal is to: work out 5 days a week. I also have to work at a bakery every evening over dinner for 5 hours. I would love to quit, but there arent many teaching jobs available in my area, so I have to… bleh… so my other goal is to NOT eat ANY sweets from the bakery between now and January!

This couldnt have come at a better time for me. I recieved some health new that has rocked me to the core and this is just the thing to help get me going and held accountable. I need to be here for my 2 children. If I dont do something now and start taking care of me I wont be able to take care of them. My goal is to go walk a minimum of 30 minutes a day, 5 days a week. I am alreaday on a structured eating plan with no more than 30 grams of sugar a day. Thank you so much for this challenge! You ladies are an amazing fitspiration!

Yay!!! Christmas challenge – what better way to keep me motivated!!!! In order to reach my goal I need to lose an additional 36.6 lbs. Since June 24, 2011, I have lost 28.2 pounds so far! Therefore, my Christmas challenge goal is to stay on track during the Christmas season – so that I don’t gain a single pound back. So I will work out on my elliptical at least 4 times a week for 30 minutes and track my food daily. Thank you for inspiring me to get healthy. @tcestes4ever

I am SO in!! My main goal is to get 40 miles in running by the 31st – and since I have been sick, I will have to work hard to get my wind back. My secondary goal is to get to my goal weight. I have been 3# away for almost 3 months! So frustrating!!!

Thanks so much for this – you guys are my idols!! 🙂

My goal is to start meal and exercise planning and grocery shopping on Sundays so I’m ready for the week. Starting today! Up this week – turkey stuffed peppers a la Hannah! Thanks, Girls!

Laura

I already follow you both on twitter and ‘like’ you on facebook so I’ve got that part covered 🙂

My goal..ok. Well, I’m 19 years old, and have struggled with my weight for about 8 years, though I wasn’t considered overweight until about 2 years ago. I used to be on the track team early in high school and was one of the best runners in our school. My low self esteem caused me to quit and I stopped all physical activity and piled on the pounds and haven’t worked out much since (so in like 5 years). SO. My goal is to run a 5k by the end of the year (not like a legit 5k, just on a treadmill or something). I know this might be a long-shot since I haven’t ran in YEARS, but I would love to achieve a 5K by Jan. 1st and maybe a half marathon by the end of 2012? If you all can go from 0 to a MARATHON in 12 weeks, I can go from 0 to a half marathon, right? 🙂 Love you guys!

Hello, my fellow Bama gals! It’s so easy to list 10 goals because there is so much that I want to achieve (and wished I had started already). So I’m going with what I feel is most beneficial to me. I’m going to keep a food journal, track the calories and OVERCOME TEMPTATIONS! I have zero will power and I also am very naive to what food has what number of calories. Since I have weight to lose, I will stay in the 1200-1400 range. I love the local produce market and will build my recipes off the good, wholesome, natural stuff. What God gave us is best!

Thank you ladies for this challenge! You do indeed inspire. I rooted for you guys during the BL season and was beyond thrilled to see you guys succeed like you have. Keep working hard for yourselves and encouraging those of us who are on the road to better health. You ladies rock.

RTR

I wake up at 4AM to work out 3-5 days a week. I run, bike, strength train and PUSH.IT. every morning … but I have lost NO weight cause I have no control over my eating. My goal is to change that. Food diary, calorie counting and REALLY focusing on what and how much I am eating starting right this minute! Yeah baby!

Hello Oliva and Hannah!

I follow both of you on Twitter, and I like both of you on Facebook. My Christmas Challenge goal is to be mindful (or aware) of what I’m eating and why I’m eating. I have a husband and two kids, so its easy to get busy taking care of them and then not pay attention to me! I just started using the MyFitnessPal app on my iPhone to track calories and to make notes about what I’m eating. I’ve already noticed the need prepare healthy meals to keep in the freezer!

My goal is to NOT weigh myself during the month of December. Sometimes the number on the scale can weigh on our minds too much, but really it should be about how you look and feel. Sometimes the scale isn’t quick to reflect all the hard work you’ve been putting in at the gym and in the kitchen.

My goal is to track my calories every day. I really like Hannah’s suggestion. I think being mindful of how many calories I am taking in will help me make better holiday choices! Thanks ladies!

Hannah and Olivia you are such an inspiration. My goal is to make time everyday to go to the gym. No more excuses as to why I can’t make it to the gym. I enjoy goin to the gym, but once I miss one day, I then make excuses as to why I can’t make it the next day! I also want to add in another goal. This goal is to eat more fruits and veggies in my daily diet. I tend to eat pretty healthy, but need to add in more fruits and veggies. Thank you for being such an inspiration! You girls are AMAZING!

I am struggled with gaining and losing weight for a long time. Recently I started a Christian Class about Women Struggling with Food. My goal is to read and pray and work on this class

Last Christmas I was at a low point in my life. 42 and diagnosed with diabetes, overweight from three emergency csections, preeclampsia, and the death of our first son, Silas I knew I had to make a change. God had given me a very special gift, a goat. And through a mistake I began to make goat milk soap and sell it. This paid for a one month trip to Fitness Ridge back in May/June. My very supportive family exercised with me and because there was a six month waiting list I ended up losing 25 lbs on my own. Three weeks into my stay I got off all my diabetic medication. When I left Fitness Ridge I left 15 more lbs lighter. I went home and lost another 15 lbs and have maintained since then. I ran two 5Ks and a mud run, but hurt both my elbow and hip and have been trying to heal. I am going back to Fitness Ridge for a week next April. I know now I’m worth it and my beautiful goat girlfriend is paying the way again:) Hannah and Olivia: I watched you those last months before I finally ‘got up off the couch’. What an inspiration. Thanks to you in part, I have my life back. MY GOAL: To get back in the game. Having not exercised since the injury, I want to start walking and doing Zumba again. I will start out and do what I can, building up to full steam ahead. After all they are going to be waiting to kick my butt at the Ridge…

You two sure know how to make a challenge FUN! I am already following you both on Facebook and Twitter (and love your posts!) and I’m loving the updates on the Christmas challenge. What a great way to get us all extra motivated during December, too! My goal is to make my workouts happen first thing in the morning again…it is always better when I get it done! Oh, and to keep tracking my calories; that’s the only way to really stay on top of things! I just hit a number on the scale that I haven’t seen in a couple of years (but in a good way this time – HOORAY!!) and I don’t want to see that start creeping up again! If only I could make it back to NYC and SoulCycle again…maybe in January or February 🙂 Keep up the great work, ladies – you continue to inspire me (and so many more) every single day! xoxo

Ok I love you girls!! here is mine: My Christmas Challenge is to lose 8 lbs [this would put me at 169- I want to kiss the 170’s bye bye]. I am going to continue eating healthy low carb foods right through Christmas through New years, because its about my life its about my health and becoming a healthier version of myself. I can’t do that if I am hung up on eating whatever just bc its the holidays. I want the best me possible 365 days a year! so along with that I am going to walk or elliptical at least 3x’s a week starting at 10minutes and working up to 30minutes. I am going to drink more water- not getting in nearly enough. Those are my Christmas goals… [I have lost from 225lbs to 177lbs its been kind of slow and steady but I have 3 daughters 12yo, 2yo and 9months] Thanks for INSPIRING ME!! xox HAPPY CHRISTMAS!

So… I just rejoined my good ‘ol favorite gym, after not working out in at least a year. Eeeeek! I knew I had gained some weight recently, but OMG… not until I weighed myself did I have a number attached to it! Currently I weigh 17 lbs more than my “feel great weight.”

So my goal is to kick those 17 lbs to the curb by hitting the gym 5x/week.

My goal is to get back to exercising 25-30 minutes a day 6 days a week like I was over the summer (where I lost 10 pounds). I’d like to run the full Flying Pig Marathon in May, so I need to get my weight down. PLUS, I’d like to try to get my body baby ready, in case my DH and I decide we want to go ahead and try to have a baby. They say 21 days to make or break a habit. I love you guys! You are amazing and inspire me in so many ways!

Thanks for the challenge ladies! While I generally like to set weight loss goals for myself, I’ve decided to dedicate your challenge to committing to being kind to myself. Over the past 9 mos., I’ve lost a little over 70 lbs and I’ve completed 3 – 5K’s. Most people would be on top of the world and although I do recognize it as an accomplishment, I am one of those people that has found it so much easier to identify my faults rather than celebrate my successes. So for the remainder of this month, I commit to identifying one thing each day that highlights my success. Thanks for this challenges ladies, if I get the opportunity to chat with you, I’ll have my list ready and I’m sure it will serve as a great guide to helping me achieve my other goals.

You are both a great inspiration!

Love it! Perfect timing! I’ve lost 30lbs and have about 25lbs to go. My goal is to exercise every weekday morning and track what I eat for the rest of December. I do solemnly swear 🙂

Hi Olivia! So I am in the military and I was so dedicated while I was deployed but when I came home it threw me back into reality it has been so hardly lately with long hrs and taking care of my son. My goal is to go back to eating healthy and hitting the gym. Getting motivated! I’ll check back with you. Also just FYI when I run on the treadmill I have your magazine cover blocking the treadmill time thanks for being an awesome role model!

My goal is to continue making it to the gym 4 days a week until my classes start back up again in the new year!
I follow you both on twitter and facebook 🙂

Hi guys!

I think I do pretty well with cardio, but strength training has always intimidated me. My goal is to learn 5 different strength training exercises and incorporate 2 30-minute strength training sessions into my weekly workout schedule before January 1.

You girls are awesome-very inspiring and funny! Your tweets are a great reminder of your success and keep me going! My goal is to lose 10 pounds. I have days that I’m very dedicated and others where I let it go a little. I plan to stick to it this time. I’ll check back in!

Hi Hanna and Olivia! Thank you for your inspiration and the December challenge. I always walk into the holiday season prepared for gaining my “winter coat” and then bashfully appear in the gym in April desperate and insecure to drop weight for the summer. My goal this holiday season is to maintain! I am going to portion my holiday meals and Christmas cookies and not let myself be convinced that it is inevitable! I commit to two days a week of cardio and no more than one dessert!

My goal will be to run 3 miles with no walking.
Also, I was reading some of these other goals and I need to increase my veggies. I have no issues eating enough fruits but I have a problem getting enough veggies each day.

Already follow you on twitter, FB and your blog.

Can’t wait to see BL tomorrow night. I will feel lost on tuesday night now without the show!

Hi Olivia and Hannah,

My goal is to better my eating habits and essentially try to lose weight. In the past, I would make HUGE goals for myself but would fail by week one. I am starting small and taking it day by day, this time around! Today, I started and I feel real successful. I am really glad that you girls are encouraging us to start NOW and not on January 1st… Let’s make it happen 🙂

I live in a condo and the elevator is literally right outside my door, so my goal is to take the stairs instead of the elevator from now on. I’m following both of y’all on facebook and twitter! 🙂

I’m down 85 pounds since this time past year! Yay, me! My Zumba linstructor is taking a break til January, so my goal is to fill that calorie-burning void with running. I’d like to be able to run 1.5 miles by Jan 1. Thanks for the Challenge! GB2

I am challenging myself to running at least 3 times a week. And, as an added bonus challenge, I have signed up for a 1/2 marathon at the end of January to keep me going from our “Challenge before challenges were cool” and straight on into the new year!

My goal is to increase my fruit and veggies I eat each day. I love them, but am horrible at making sure I eat them. So I am committing to 5 servings of fruts or veggies everyday.

Hi Olivia and Hanna! I have loved you both since day one on BL! I completed my first full marathon this year and during a visit with my mom (a nurse) she was concerned about a spot on my leg. I had it looked at in a few weeks later, at the end of August, I was lying on a table having skin cancer removed at 26. I don’t lay out in the sun nor use tanning beds so this was a huge shocker to someone that doesn’t do this and also as someone that wears jeans most of the time in the summer too. I was unable to run by doctors orders until it healed, late November. My goal is to get back into running so I can begin to train my for the Nike Womans Marathon in October! I follow you both on Twitter and Facebook. Wish you both the best and a Merry Christmas!

Hannah and Olivia,
You guys are such an inspiration to me and my sister Hannah. We love reading your blog and following your guys on twitter and Facebook. Thank you for this christmas challenge! Since I started your christmas challenge, I have lost 4 pounds and have dropped my calories from about 2000 to 1300. It has been so helpful and absolutely amazing! Love you guys <3 Thank you for changing mine and Hannah's lives!

Hannah and Olivia- You ladies are so amazing and I love myfitspiration, your tweets, and your facebook posts! All your advice and posts about your workouts definitely help to push me on my journey to a fit lifestyle. Ever since I heard of your love for cycling classes, I looked them up at my gym and I am officially hooked!

My goal for this amazing challenge it to not only sign up for the classes at the gym but to make it to each of the classes. I also am motivated to cook for myself, not just on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday (my days that I am motivated to cook on), but throughout the week as well!

I love you girls and already follow you on Twitter(pumpkin1414) and like you on Facebook. Good luck with your challenges!! =))

My sister and I used to be so good about going to the gym for at least an hour 3 to 4 times a week. Lately we have just haven’t been making it there as much. So I am challenging myself (and my sister if she accepts) to start going back at least the same amount of times if not more. Also I am challenging myself to continue to calculate my calories and not just start one day then do some the next and none the next.

Thanks to you guys, I have joined the dark side and now have a twitter account! lol. My goals for today through 01/01/12 (12? Really? so strange looking) are: keep a food journal. i have all the head knowledge and I’ve lost weight before but it just hasn’t made it to my heart, which still seeks food for comfort. So, food journal is my starting point. Thanks for the challenge!

Is this a girls only challenge? I don’t notice any guys here but I’d like to enter. Let me know.

Weighing 260lb right now, trying to drop 13 by Jan 1st.

This is an awesome idea! I used to work out at the gym about 5 to 6 times a week but with school and work I haven’t been able to get there at all. Before I start my next semester at college I want to get to the gym 3 to 4 times a week and keep that going through the semester. As well I also want to lose 45 pounds by May to get down to 150 pounds.

My goal is to lose the 40 pounds I gained from PCOS so when I get married in March I will be able to fit into my wedding dress, not fee like the biggest girl in my wedding party and actually feel like I should be at my wedding.

My goal is to make healthy eating choices throughout the holidays. I also plan to finish my 9 week running program!

My Goal is to start going to the gym regularly again!! For the last 10 years, I have gone through phases of going to the gym regularly and getting into a healthy routine. Then, I will get off course and stop for a few weeks/even months (I haven’t been to the gym since October) and find it hard to get back into the routine! I need to find a constant source of motivation to keep me going and I haven’t figured out what the best motivator is yet. I just joined Twitter (LBinny) and follow you two (also on Facebook) and lots of other Biggest Loser contestants so heres to hoping this helps over the holidays! I don’t necessarily have weight that I need to lose but I could certainly stand to tone up and become healthier. Any suggestions?!? Thanks!! 🙂

I’m so glad you guys put there up there because I have already started my goals to become healthier and losing weight. I have about 6 goals in mind.
1. Lose a total of 80 lbs
2. Eat more fruit and veggies
3. Cook at home every night (instead of eating out) I’ve been doing really well with this goal.
4. work out at least 6 days a week
5. Count calories staying around 1500 per day.
6. start a blog with my journey. (Already started it) http://www.healthiermomentum.blogspot.com
if you would like to join and follow me. Anyone is welcome to!

I know I won’t lose 80 lbs for this Christmas challenge but I know I want to lose at least 10 before the new year and I know I can do it. You guys are such an inspiration. I watched you on the Biggest Loser. You taught me anything it possible if you put your mind and heart into it! Thanks!!

Hi Hannah and Olivia. You two were my big inspiration! I started doing my workouts right along with you two using my wii fit free workouts. i would do step and watch the show, struggle with you, the whole way through. Im still plugging. In the last three months alone I have lost 21 Lbs. I am going and going strong. I am sitting at 273 and i am still struggling with saying no to those bad foods. im also very scared about sagging skin once im done my journey.

I would love some tips and hints from you two about how to say no to those bad foods. I would say I have strong self control probably 90 percent of the time… Also, I would LOVE to join this challenge. just to give myself that extra competition!

My goal is simply to maintain. I’m going home for the holla-days and that’s always a dangerous period! I will stay active and will pay attention to what I eat, but I know it will be hard, since I looooove me some home cooked meals, and I only go home once a year. But I have all the tools I need to make this a goal accomplished!

hannah & Olivia there is a goal that ive been try so hard to accompilsh but its about time for me to step up and take some action. now ive been taking some spinn classes 3 days a week and some killer bootcamp to so can reach my goal. and then when get to that will reach another one. so i will keep u lovely ladies updated. oh the bloopser were funny and i didnt know you could sing hannah not bad OXOX!

I will track calories again, and get back on track with my exercise routine to help lose the 30-40 lbs I need to reach my short term goal! I know I can do it Han!

My goal is to eat healthy every single day of the week and working out to Jillian’s Yoga Meltdown. In a result of that I would like to reach a goal of losing 10-15 pounds.

I love you girls, and you remind me so much of myself. Your BL journey really inspired me to get myself motivated, and I have since lost 30 lbs! I only have 30 more until I reach my goal weight. My Christmas Challenge is to plan/make my meals for the week on Sundays. I find that when I don’t have a plan, that’s when temptation and the “Easy” route take over. I already follow you both on Facebook and Twitter (@vegagenesis). And Hannah, as a Colorado native who bleeds Orange and Blue, GO BRONCOS! (read: Tebow 😉 ) You can follow my and my friend’s journey on FB at https://www.facebook.com/pages/Fitness-Felines/311023548911292 and check out our blog at http://fitnessfelines.blogspot.com. Much love!

I am so thrilled to see this challenge. It’s making me think. My goal is to continue to run 30 minutes three days a week and to add in two days of workouts at home. I stay at home with my three boys and my husband is gone most of the week, so going out to get activity is very tough. I am also making it a goal to stay under 150 pounds. I was at 250 lbs this past February and I am determined to keep it off. You two were a great inspiration for me when I was losing weight. Thank you so much.

My goal for this challenge is to get into the 180s by New Years Day!! I plan to walk more with the dogs and the baby, and to be more vigilant about counting my calories.

As a huge Curlee fam fan, ofcourse I’m going to join in on a challenge! I live a crazy life as a mom of 3, but as much as I love those precious pies/gifts from God, I have to take care of their mama! This year, my big goal is to lose 60 lbs! My Christmas goal is to finally join the gym and get the ball rolling!

I’m already a follower and liker (?) of the both of you on Twitter and Facebook. I’m thrilled to be joining in on this, as well! Thanks for the inspiration!

Merry Christmas!
Tiffany

P.S. I’m also on Team Twilight. Just putting that out there…

My goal is to go to bed before 10pm every night! I need more ZZZZzzzz’s in my life! My other goal is to win a half hour session with two of my fave gals 😉

Oh my you guys are just such sisters haha I love your blooper video 🙂 ALWAYS the greatest moments captured when you don’t realize it!! I never really got into biggest loser and then I watched your season and I’ve been hooked since! I seriously picked both of you to be in the finally that first episode and it was amazing watching you both transform and become the ladies you are today! SO SO SOOOOOOOO inspring and just real down to earth and may I add HILLARIOUS women 🙂 It would be amazing to meet/talk to you guys! My goal for this challenge is to continue to eat clean (I’m slightly obsessed with tosca reno) and workout 5 days a week to get to my goal by the time my husband gets home from deployment! Thanks for inspiring me daily 🙂

I am super hyped for this challenge! Thank You ladies soo much! I will forever be thankful to you, season 11 was my first season of BL tht I started watching and you 2 motivated my like no one else in the world was able too!

So Since your season with your help (motivating tweets, inspiting posts etc) I have lost over 50 pounds, a couple of weeks ago I started losing my motivation and started to think negative… that I will never reach my goal and bla bla bla..
So now with the help of your challenge I am proud to say that I am making myself a new goal starting NOW I will get back on track and FINISH WHAT I STARTED! I know I can do this, and I want it so badly! I am not going to give up!
This is it! its my time to take charge of my body once again.
Love you both soo much.. I am following you on twitter and on facebook.
keep doing all these great things cuz you never know whos heart you will touch.
You totally keep me going! O and I just got my GoSportID and I absolutly love it!!

xoxoxo
Liba

You girls are such inspirations even for those of us in college 🙂
My goal is to run 5 miles straight by the end of December to help me start getting ready for the St. Louis marathon in April!

Howdy Gals,
I just now ran across your Christmas Challenge and want to get on board. I am a major Biggest Loser Fan and love you two. Both of you are so confident and living life. Tim Tebow is not a bad goal either, Hannah. It amazes me how the good guys are hard to find and hate it when they get criticized for being “too good.”

My journey began 5 years ago, and I have lost 80ish pounds. I am still attempting to set routines and create habits, so my goal may seem simple, but I would like to give up ALL soda (even diet) and drink water and tea. My goal is to get in 64-100 ounces of water and/or unsweetend ice tea each day.

I am definitely a fan and a follower and look forward to what the new year brings. Merry Christmas, and I will keep you updated.

Hey there girlies!! Love this christmas challenge! (Got a big ‘ole laugh from the bloopers too!!) My goal is to dig my BodyBugg (which I bought 6 months ago, wore 3 days and never put back on) out of my drawer and COUNT MY CALORIES!! I have 100 pounds to loose, and fast! My husband and I have been battling infertility for 7 years(thats one reason I always connected with Olivia on BL) and I want to go back to our infertility doctor this summer for another round of IVF (our last round failed) I REALLY need to dig deep and loose this weight! Thank you for being soo down to earth, and soo encouraging! I would LOVE to SKYPE y’all. I hope I win!!! Thanks a bunch!!! You both look DYNAMITE!!!

I just saw that my comment didnt post from a few days ago.. so im doing it again my month of Dec goal are/ where to run a half marathon & 5K as well as eat healthy… I did the half marathon last weekend in 2:46:50 not as fast as I wanted it to be but I did it!! Eating was has also got a lot better.. Now Just for the 5K on the 31st goal is to get it in 30mins or less…

Goals: Run 4 days a week. 2 bodypump classes a week. Under 1700 calories per day except Christmas and New Years eve! No late night eating . . .

My goal: Sign up for a personal trainer!

I’ve been at a plateau for quite some time now, but your challenge has given me the nudge I needed to take this step. (Thank you!!!) Recently, it’s been hard to get motivated and even harder to ask for help and support in my weight loss… So now I want to do this as a Christmas present to myself! 😀

(It’s Abby again!) So I just finished filling out all of the paperwork to sign up for a personal trainer. Yay! It feels so good to do something for myself that is not related to food, even if it was filling out 7 pages of forms. 😛 I’m nervous to start this new program, though. AH BUTTERFLIES! Haha…

Thanks again for the challenge, ladies! You’re both truly an inspiration for me.

Hi Hannah & Olivia!

I’ve got a lot going on physically right now, and my goal is to stay strict on the diet my nutritionist has prescribed… and QUIT SMOKING! I’ve been slowly cutting down how much I smoke per day, and by 12/18 I’ll be smoke free – through the holidays! Odd how you can be so addicted to something that you absolutely hate.

Here’s to reaching goals!

Kim

I’ve been maintaining a 1600 calorie a day diet for a little more than 3 months now. I think I have a firm grasp on my nutrition but I’ve been struggling to incorporate exercise into my routine. My goal is to get active by doing at least 30 minutes of some type of physical activity at least 3 days a week.

I have the exercise down, spin 3 days per week, body pump 3 days per week and jog 30 minutes 6 days per week. So obviously it’s the eating holding me back. Bought BodyMedia 2 weeks ago. My goal is to track ALL intake of food daily AND make my next goal of 189 by Jan 1

misspelled my name. haha. anyhoo so I will say it again. exercise everyday and maintain weight throughout holidays

Already following on FB and twitter (eatprayrun3). My goal is to get back into a running routine of 3 days per week! I was great about this months ago, but since stopping the running, the pounds have packed on!!

My wife and I have been working out and losing weight since your finale. I’m down 67 lbs, she’s lost 41 so far. The goal for 2012 is for me to run the Colorado Marathon on May 6, and Debbie is running the half marathon. We’ve done 2 5K’s already, and she’s entering a 10K in January to check progress. I’m entering a half marathon in February to check my progress. Fees are paid, minds are set, bodies are in motion!

Okay ladies… First of all I want you to know how much of an ispiration you are to me and my weight loss journey and I am totally ready to take on your challenge! So… I have found that so ar far in this holiday season I have had a hard time staying motivated. Therefore my goal is to stay on track with my calorie counting and my workout routine. Simple and way doable! See you on Jan 1!

I just did walk 5 miles today as I did Leslie Sansone 5 mile walk video and I feel great I also lost weight as when I first post my goal for Dec I was 195 and now I am 191. I am happy 🙂

My goal is to not eat breads/grains after two PM and do an hour of cardio a day, 5 days a week. Also, I’m a big movie watcher, but need to get off my rear more on the weekends. I decided to implement a reward system. Example: after I do an hour of physical activity outside in Riverside or Central Park, I can watch a movie, etc. It’s time to put my health FIRST!!! LOVE you ladies!!!

Since I will be on vacation for the rest of the month and out of town(away from my gym!), my goal is to maintain my progress and resist all those yummy Christmas goodies! I did it for Thanksgiving and I am now down 33 lbs since September. Everyone knows how hard it is to eat healthy on vacation and since we will be “snowed” in, I have to get creative with my workouts too!
I love that so many people have signed up for the challenge and I wish them all the best of luck! Completing the goal is the ultimate prize for me but I would love to win a skype too! 😉

My goal is to start tracking my calories again and workout with my new BL Challenge for Wii game! I lost 4.6 pounds this week with it!

These goals are superb, such a motivated bunch! Mine is to do something I truly loath: keep a food journal. groooosss. Honestly, I think this challenge may work because I will avoid eating so as to not have to journal. I’m a lefty with terrible handwriting, and about as organized chihuahua is calm…. yea. So this has always been the diet and exercise suggestion I give up on first. But mindless eating has kept me from my last ten pounds, and I want to be able to tighten my diet enough to achieve those goals. Although I’ve found dieting success, I have not found consistency (with my diet or workouts). I hope creating (and sustaining!!!) a place of validation and accountability will help me reach my fitness goals. The food journal will also have a space on each page to note my workouts, but mostly the point is consistency through awareness.

You ladies are amazing and so beautiful!!! My challenge is to eat with purpose! I always seem to fall off the wagon this time of year and gain 10 – 15 lbs! SO…I’m going to make better choices in what I eat, especially at all of the parties and get togethers. I’m also going to switch up my gym routines to include more strength training in addition to my regular spin sessions (I’m addicted to spin!). Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

Hello ladies! I have a sort of different goal this year rather than getting into shape… This year, I want to look in the mirror every day and tell myself that I am beautiful and worth it and say a quality every day that I like about myself. It’s time to start realizing that just because I’ve lived a nightmare for the past few years, that for every one person that has hurt me, I have a 100 more who love me. It’s time to cut the negative people out of my life and surround myself with positive, loving people who will support me in my dreams and lifestyle and not bring me down and control my every move. I can’t let other people determine how I’m going to live my life anymore.

I follow you both on facebook, twitter, and on your blog! And even if you don’t pick me, which is a long shot because there are some amazing goals and people on here, it’s still so awesome to write the goal out and have some sort of accountability for it. Great challenge. Thank you!

My goal is to run OUTSIDE all winter – which will be a huge challenge in the cold, snowy Canadian conditions. I’ve always taken my runs indoors during the winter but I think I’ll dress warmly and run faster as motivation!

Just checking in to say that I have been doing pretty well keeping my water intake up. I keep thinking about winning one of the prizes. As a contributing writer for The Sisterhood of the Shrinking Jeans, a skype date with you two would make a great post.

My goal is to continue my weight loss (i’ve lost 60lbs as of today!!) I am determined to continue losing during the holiday season. hopefully down 5 more by jan 1 🙂

Hey girls! I have recently started running with a friend, and she has made me a training plan for me to run my first 10k on New Years Eve morning. You guys are such an inspiration to me!

i told you guys last week i was going to run my first ever 5K and today in Somerville, MA (just north of boston) in 30 degree weather i finished my first ever 5K!!

I wrote mine already on the youtube video (because that’s where I was watching it and it said to add the comment below!)

My goal is to run 55 miles (between when this video was posted and jan 1.) Already I’m at 28 miles!!! I’ve never been athletic in my life but I watched The Biggest Loser for the first time last season and you two were my FAVES from the beginning! While the show was still on, I started hitting the gym and now I’m training for my first half-marathon. I have to say that you two were my inspiration for wanting to be fit and active. I’d love to skype with you. Pick me! Pick me!

I have som any different issues that I need to addres but I guess the best thing is to tackle one at a time. My first goal is to count calories – both eaten and burned. I want to feel in control of my weight loss and my life! I’m getting a Bodybugg to help me out. Here goes nothing!

1. My goal for the month of December was/is to run 6km every weekday morning.. off to good start! 9 days left 🙂 I’m hoping to turn it into a habit and continue through into the New Year..
2. Check! Love following you two on Twitter
3. Don’t have Facebook 🙁 I hope I can still enter!!!!! I would absolutely ‘like’ you if I had it.

I love this challenge. I have been doing good with losing weight.(slowly but consistant) And drinking lots of water. My goal is a two part. I’m not very strong. I want to work towards being able to do chin ups. And to also stick with all of the great healthy changes I have made. I usually don’t finish what I start. Not this time!
Thank you ladies.

I have a couple of #Fitspiration challenges:
1) Stop being boy crazy and dressing up to go out thinking about who I might meet, and instead dress up, wear make-up and look good for me.
2) Most difficult is trying my hand at not smoking while drinking on NYE. I won’t do it from now until then either. I can do this!
3) Getting to NYE to see some Curlee girls 🙂

My Holiday Challenge is to eat right. There will be a visitor in the home for about a week and she needs someone to role model healthy eating. I have a lot of weight to lose but need to break it up in manageable goals so 2012 needs to see me at least 50 pounds lighter by next Holiday Challenge. I will do this by eating right and walking.

My goal is to lose 2-3 pounds a week by eating healthier and working out at least 3 times a week for an hour at a time! Getting ready for all the weddings that are coming up in my life! But not my own, sadly.

Absolutely love fitness but I also LOOOOVE food. I am committed to keeping a food journal on my iPhone app myfitnesspal for the duration of the challenge. 🙂

My goal to accomplish before Jan.1st is to kickstart a healthy lifestyle to prepare myself for the upcoming year! I don’t want to have another “Next New Year’s Resolution” I’m tired of waiting and pushing it aside, I want this for myself, I want to be proud of myself! I want to be able to say I used to be fat! I am going to make better health choices and fit in a exercise system to follow every day. I will dedicate myself to an hour walk 3 days of the week. My biggest goal is to tone and lose a few pounds before the New Year, that way I don’t gain even more before the New Year comes and make it even harder on myself to lose it! I have a food diary, I exercise 6 days a week for 2 hours a day, I have changed my eating habits to much healthier options, and I’m already 5 pounds down within the first week!!!!! This pushed me even harder to accomplish my goal before the New Year. I’m living for the moment now. this is my life and I want to live it! I follow both Hannah and Olivia on twitter, and I liked on Facebook. Sign me up!! I am ready for this challenge, bring it!

SIGN ME UP!!!

Ok, so I know I’m like a week and a half LATE for this challenge… but I’ve really been working on this since October 17th. The reason I’m late is because I don’t have a TV, so I’ve been watching season 11 Biggest Loser on Hulu every time I work out, and I just watched the season finale last week– this is also the time I realized how much I LOVE the way you guys are down to earth, yet totally kick butt when it comes to life & health 🙂 I never follow blogs or twitter– ever. But I joined twitter and now I’m following you guys…. and I liked you on facebook!

Now, I said that I started this weight loss journey in October– my goal was to lose 20 pounds by January 8 (the day my husband and I leave for a cruise). You see, my normal weight is around 128. But back in April we got pregnant and I gained about 4 pounds… then we miscarried… but I continued to gain weight. Eventually, in October I weighed myself and was 140 pounds (which is not acceptable for me… I am 5’4″). So, I started working towards an all-around more healthy lifestyle.

Olivia, I really loved hearing about you and your story because of the way you and Ben long to be parents, and how you used that desire to motivate you to lose the weight. My husband and I have been married for almost 3 years, and have still not been able to conceive. I often wondered if my unhealthy lifestyle had anything to do with that… so now I’m changing my life to see if it will help in our efforts to have a child!

So, I was doing well, but then, for some lazy reason, I decided to cheat my way through this Christmas season… (my cheat started on Thursday of last week). But I just listened to your challenge and decided I WILL STILL MEET MY GOAL THROUGH CHRISTMAS…. so my goal (btw, I have lost 12 pounds since october) is to lose 3 more pounds by 12/31by: working out EVERY day, eating 1200 PROTEIN packed calories EVERY DAY, drinking 8 glasses of water/day AT LEAST (I’m terrible at this) and lauging more 🙂 🙂 🙂

Here’s to you guys and your progress this far– YOU LOOK AMAZING… and here’s to everyone else who is changing their lives as a result of the INSPIRATION you provide 🙂

YAYYAYAY!!!

I’m in!
The holiday and all of the goodies have increased my intake of sugar and simple carbs. It seems like my shut off button is not working anymore. I am starting to feel the extra pounds I have put on and am huffing and puffing when I come up the steps to the second floor.
Tomorrow 12/20 that stops. My husband had a long face and said it is a bad time since Christmas and New Years are coming. He also can benefit since he has very recently had a stent put in a main heart artery and needs to change his eating and fitness habits.

My goal: to run 25 miles by January 1st! I’ve really slacked on my running training the past few months and want to get back into it. Why wait until 2012 to feel better and be healthier when I can start now?!

Sign me up!!! My goal is to quit drinking soda and drink more water. This will be my first big step in losing all the weight that I need to lose to be healthier. I’m just gonna take it one day at a time! I love reading all the things you ladies post on here and on your Facebook pages, you’re inspiring me to take control of my obesity and make the lifestyle changes to be a healthier person. I just started following you on twitter tonight after I saw this challenge. Thanks for being such great role models! Have a Merry Christmas!!

I started my journey in September, down 30 lbs. 20 to go. A friend of mine emailed me because she wanted to start boot camp and said she was scared b/c she wasn’t in shape like i was. I thought she emailed the wrong person by mistake! My goal is to stop thinking like the fat girl i was and start thinking like the FIT girl i am becoming!!!

Hello beautiful ladies! What an inspiration you two are! Keep up the amazing work you’re doing!! I’ve lost 70 pounds in the last 14 months (and am now at my goal weight), so my new goal is to choose healthy snacks instead of the cookies, candy, etc. I want to keep those snacky items to be “god-made” foods such as veggies, fruits, nuts, eggs, etc.

I hope I’m not too late to take the Christmas Challenge!!! Every year I gain about 5-10 pounds during the holidays due to over-indulging in too many sweets and holiday meals. Well, this year that is NOT happening. Since Thanksgiving I’ve LOST 10 pounds instead of gaining! WOOHOO! I set a goal for myself to reach by Christmas and I’m only 3 pounds away! So my challenge is to lose 3 more lbs by Christmas! Thanks for motivating us at this time of year! You both ROCK. Have a Merry CHRISTmas 🙂

Hey gals!! Just checking back in!!! My goal was to calorie count utilizing my Bodybugg that I purchased and it since had been just sitting in my house while I kept eating! I dusted it off and have been using it! I also signed up for your blog posts to come to my cell phone, and I must say reading everyones posts during the day has inspired me to keep with the goal I have! Loosing weight is not an option anymore for me, its a MUST if I want a baby! I REALLY hope I get to chat with you gals via skype!! Keep up all your hard work! You REALLY are helping to change my life and the choices I make!

My goal is to start a workout program. To start, I am going to work out at least 30 minutes 3 times a week, with the ultimate goal, being 5-6 days/week. I make excuses to myself all the time about not having time to workout….. No more excuses!

Ugh a hard day started off with homemade rum cake at the office and ended aat McDs but it was a small piece of cake and the dollar menu instead of super size. So it wasn’t completely mindless eating and as of this morning weight has been maintained, no bad for 3 days before Christmas.

My goal is to track my food as well as climb the “M” where I am staying for xmas. This is a big mountain/hill that has a huge M on it for the University of Montana.

My Christmas challenge is to buy a Xbox Kinect so i can start working out with Zumba/biggest loser to help with my Weight loss and get healthier..I want to be in the “one-derland” by the end of February

How cool is this?! I kind of made my own goal to do the same thing starting last week! Christmas is always the time I blow it… so I figured why not make it the time I kick butt instead!? Thanks for your challenge and encouragement! I’ve decided to make sure I work out five days a week starting last week. so far, so good! AND I’m down 4.8 pounds! woohoo!

You guys just ROCK, hands down! But I’ll have to fight you for Tim Tebow… 😀

-Jeanette

My goal is to consistently go to the gym 3-4 times a week before work- its so hard to get up at 5AM, but I really want to keep it consistent. I know it will payoff!

My goal is a tough one…it takes time to break a habit that I’ve been doing all my life! But it’s been so far so good. So my Christmas challenge to myself has been to stop drinking diet soda! I’ve got lots of other fitness/health and weight goals going on as well, but this seems to be the most challenging one in my life. Imagine giving up coffee and you will understand my boat?!? Since I haven’t ever liked coffee, I drank my caffeine cold in the form of diet cola. So now for the Holidays will come my absolute challenge …going to all those Christmas parties and passing on the soda. Wish me luck!

I just reached my Christmas challenge goal!! I wanted to be under 200 by jan 1, today I weighed in at 199!!! Fells great. Haven’t been in the 100’s since I had my oldest son 5yrs ago.

Challenge update! Decided not to weigh myself until the end of the challenge,…but my pants already feel looser! On Dec. 13th I weighed 199.8 (hit One-derland!) so the goal is to be 194.8 or less on New Year’s.

Doing well so far otherwise – have had no diet soda since Dec. 9 and been good about limiting sweet treats to small portions instead of inhaling all of that sugar. Of course, God was trying to tell me something when my oven quit in the middle of baking. He was telling me I’d already made enough cookies! ;o)

My spin studio is having a Sleigh Ride today and I will be there. All Christmas music spin!!! :o)

Here’s my update and an addition to my challenge. My original goal was to maintain a workout regimen while I was visiting family for Christmas and not just give up on exercise for the whole trip. Today was my first official day of a two week vacation and I went jogging this morning! My husband even joined me so that was an added benefit (it’s nice having family around to watch our boys so we can workout together).
I also wanted to add-on to the challenge that I want to continue the healthy lifestyle I started this year throughout my current pregnancy 🙂 With my first two babies I stopped exercising almost right away and gave into every unhealthy pregnancy craving. I checked with my OB/GYN on what exercises I’m allowed to do and what intensity. I’m not giving up this time and am determined to stay healthy and not turn this into another fast food pregnancy.

It’s so ironic that you girls are doing this challenge! I was just talking to my husband last night about refocusing myself on my goals! Since July I’ve lost 45lbs and since the beginning of this month…I’ve slacked off so much more since I’ve been so busy. I used to be full of so many excuses, binge eating, and so many other terrible habits. While I don’t suffer from all of them anymore…the excuses seem to creep back. I plan on starting training to become a Yoga Instructor in January and I haven’t seen the inside of the gym in weeks! My goal before/by January 1st is NO MORE EXCUSES! This coming week I will be in Florida visiting my in-laws and at 260lbs I was relatively active there…now 45lbs lighter…I’m ready to be super active. Laying and tanning…NO….walks on the beach and aqua fit activities…YES! Love you girls!!!!! Merry Christmas! P.S. Hannah…I hope Tim Tivo just so happens to end up in your stocking. lol 😉

Challenge Update, I feel so much better this Christmas and have lots of energy. I am walking 4-6 miles 5x a week. I have been drinking my water and getting my daily fiber. My daughter is having a Christmas Eve Eve slumber party and I have stayed away from all the pizza, cookies and the Chocolate Fountain, just waiting for them to fall asleep right now.

Thanks for the challenge. I feel great, instead of bloated and tired. Have yourselves a Merry Christmas and a Healthy, Happy and Prosperous New Year!

Thanks for the challange, I stayed away from all the fattening food this Christmas without the guilt and made healthy alternatives. I am not only doing this for me but for my daughter so she can have a skype session with the sisters. My daughter is 22 is 5’4” and weighs 220#’s and needs motivation and help in losing the weight. I hope to win some fitness swag:)

Hannah!!! Olivia!!!!!! I wanted to update you on my Christmas Challenge!!!! Yesterday was Christmas, and like every other Christmas..I eat all food my tummy can take!! This year I was faced with the same temptation, ONLY this year—-> I ate potion size turkey and vegetables!!!!!!!! I was soo proud of myself! Might I add that It felt soo go to not be full the rest of the day! I felt so energized and PROUD!!! My goal for the Christmas Challenge is to make healthy changes to my new lifestyle! I want to start drinking at least 8 ounces of water a day and step up my vegetable and fiber intake!! Can’t wait to keep you posted!!! Cali out!

Challenge update… Riding the struggle bus this week with my challenge. My goal was to look in the mirror daily and tell myself a good quality about myself… But with the anniversary of a terrible event coming up, among other little odds and ends things, my mind is not exactly positive right now. I worked in the ICU yesterday at work, so I really shouldn’t be in a Debbie Downer mood because I’m so blessed to have my health and family/friends, unlike some of the people I took care of. It’s amazing how the mind works. How one thing can completely change your outlook on life. And unfortunately, this thing is almost taking over my mind. I NEED to get out of this funk. Working out always helps, so tonight I’m having a dance workout with a friend… Zumba and Just Dance for Wii… it will be fun and relaxing and hopefully rejuvenating. It’s frustrating to be in such a rut at times, but I know I’ll get through this…. And I know there are so many more people who have a lot more going on than I do, so I have to be thankful.

Thanks again for doing this challenge… Even through the difficult times of it, it’s been well worth it and I’m learning a lot about myself. Thank you! 🙂

P.S. I work New Years Day from 7a-7:30p, so I’m afraid I’ll forget to come back and say “Count me in,” so I’m saying it now… Count me in, pick me! 🙂

You two are so goofy! You remind me so much of me and my sister! Anyway, I’m always trying to eat healthy and work out, but I’m still in college. This past semester was so busy that I barely had time to make it to the gym. So, my goal over this Christmas break has been to work out 6 days out of the week and tone up. I’ve been doing really well! I’ve been home for two weeks already and haven’t missed a day yet. I can already tell that I’m losing a few pounds and toning up. I love it!

My goal for Dec. is to get through a 7 mile run by Dec. 31st. I’m working toward my first half marathon in April. Originally i wanted to get through 5 miles by Dec.31st, but I hit that goal in Nov. I’m moving forward. Sorry that I posted late.

Goals for the New Year

1. Meet Hannah… oh wait … you want weight loss goals…

1. Stay accountable this year through my friends and strangers. 🙂
2. I’ve lost 30 lbs this past year… next year the same amount at least.
3. Consistency … exercise 1 hr 4 times a week.

Love you both! Sign me up! 🙂

Sorry for the late post, just found fitspiration! My first goal is to drink at least 64 oz of water a day. I am bad about not drinking water so this is a good start to a more healthy life! I need to lose weight, exercise, and eat right, but water is my pre-new year goal!

So far so good! I’m back home in Europe for the holla days. Dangerous territory, but I’m hanging in there! I asked for a gym pass for Christmas, my family thought I was crazy! But I feel great working out most mornings. I am maintaining, give or take some really minor fluctuations. I just feel better knowing that I can get a proper workout vs having to go run outside in the cold. Brrrrr!

This challenge has really been helpful and I love it! It helped me to even get outside for a run on Christmas before we sat down for our family dinner!! It is certainly helping to get me on the right track BEFORE the new year! I hope your challenge is going well!!

Ever start out with a goal and it becomes something so much more? My goal for this challenge (thank you for the challenge! ) was to exercise on workdays and get better with food tracking. The exercise led me to think about what I really want to be doing..like, if I’m going to spend an hour every day doing something, what would it be? I love running, but I don’t want to do it every day, especially not through the winter on a treadmill. So, what else could I do? Deep down, I knew what I wanted to do, but had been too much of a coward to embrace. This challenge got me over the “Jazzercise is just too cheesy sounding to actually do” to just doing it. Turns out they have some great choreography, and, man, so much fun! Dance had been part of my life for years, but after I got married I just let it go for some reason. Now it’s back and it is just such a source and expression of joy and I’m so thankful for it.

Food tracking wasn’t as exciting, but it sure was revealing. Getting a bit more detailed with food tracking and looking up the actual nutrition information (duh!) for things made me realize what some foods really cost and prioritize what’s worth it and what’s so totally not.

So now I feel equipped to get into this new year, make the right choices for me, and shake my tail feather like god intended 😉

Thank you for the inspiration!
Jen

Hi Olivia and Hannah!
I wanted to give an update: My goal is to complete the Couch to 5K program by New Year’s. I was pretty well on track until irritated cartilage behind my kneecap flared up again and forced me to take a couple of rest days. My knee is already better and I was back in the gym yesterday. I have four workouts left to complete the program so I could still finish it by Jan. 1st, or if not, very soon after!
Thanks for the challenge and great motivation! Y’all are awesome! 🙂

Hey all, hope you all are enjoying the holiday season!

I am really enjoying my Christmas Challenge goal of trying out new classes at the gym, not so much the drinking fewer vanilla lattes at Starbucks, but I’m successfully dealing with it. 🙂 Anyhow, so far I’ve manage to maintain my weight throughout the holidays which I guess says a lot about the benefits of exercising to lose weight because I have been cheating with holiday goodies everywhere I go. Gotta keep working out! So the new classes I’ve tried so far are Body Pump (group barbell program – loved it, very challenging), Cardio Conditioning (seriously kicked my butt, non-stop movement) and Body Sculpt (great total body strength workout…still incredibly sore from Monday night’s class). I’ve also tried several classes I’ve already taken before but with different instrucutors, such as with Tabata (If you haven’t tried this class, do it! You will love it) and Spin. I am having a ball with all these varieties of classes. I think it really helps to keep working out fun, and its probably good for our muscles as well to not do the same workouts day in and day out.

So thanks again, Hannah & Olivia, for posting this challenge. Hope everyone is having as much fun with it as I am!

To a healthier New Year! 🙂

Sue

Hey y’all! My goal is to be more consistent with my workouts. As a former college athlete with a back injury (sounds familiar?) I really need to stay consistent in order to keep my pain level to a minimum. According to my Ortho, staying at a healthy weight will put less stress on my bad back and bad knee. I think 10 lbs will do the trick! (Currently I am 5’11” and 177 lbs.) To be more specific, I’d like to workout 5x/week either in the gym or at home. Anywho, thank y’all for being an inspiration and for being hilarious obviously. Favorite quote: “Tim Tebow in my stocking. That would be healthy for me!” OMG Genius.

Congrats on all your successes. And if y’all are ever in Memphis TN holler at me and lets go do some spin!

Much love, Michelle
@NurseMeesha

Challenge Update, checked out some fitness centers yesterday, crossfit was way too much for us, along with any spin classes and Lifetime fitness was $50 a month. Thinking about Planet Fitness, it is $10 a month, and gives me access to treadmills and elipticals. There are no spin cycles though:(. I get SADD about this time of year and I feel better I think because I am exercising and eating a balanced diet(limiting sugar intake). Thanks for the challenge.

I would like to start running again. It is funny how fast your body can lose that muscle once you don’t use it. I have completed 3 half marathons in the past, but then I stopped working, focused more on work, and gained 30 pounds. I am ready to start running again, starting with 1 mile a day, then eventually working up to 4. I know it will take a while to get into the routine, but I know that my body will thank me.

Update! 4 days after the Holiday and I am at my lowest weight in over 2 years! I subscibe to this entry so I could read all your challenges and you all kept me focused, I enjoyed the holiday goodies but I did it mindfully and I lost weight. Thanks ladies for the challenge and thanks to all of the challengees for the hard work!

Hi Olivia and Hannah!

When I was a 250lb sophomore in high school, I finally decided to make a change. I gave up sugary drinks and snacks and joined the YMCA. I also forced the other 3 members of my family to switch to whole wheat and skim milk and give up Chinese food. Over the course of the next 8 years I slowly lost 80 pounds. I went from being angry and insecure to being confident and having everyone tell me what a positive person I’d become. Unfortunately, I stopped there. Life got in the way and I haven’t been able to lose that last 20 pounds. In fact, I recently quit my exciting job in a big city to move back to my hometown and pursue my dream job by enrolling in grad school. I went from walking to work every day and staying pretty active, to driving everywhere and spending most of my time studying on the couch. Now, 12 years after I made that first big change, I’ve gained 10 pounds since moving home and I am determined to get it off (plus the other 20 I need to lose). I made a goal right after Thanksgiving (before I’d seen your Christmas Challenge) to finally reach my goal weight. I set a short term goal of losing those ten pounds by January 1st. I’m happy to say that I’m down 9 pounds and well on my way of reaching that goal and going after the next 20. Thank you girls from the bottom of my heart for being such an inspiration!!!

Challenge update! I know I’ve been updating you girls on my twitter account (@fullofcrafts) while I’ve been here in Jupiter, Florida…but I thought I’d do an update here as well! I’m getting even more excited as the new year approaches! Today I walked my first 5K in a very long time…and on the sand! Being overweight since the age of 3 doesn’t give me many happy active time to look back on and I’m making those memories now and will continue to do that with my husband and one day with our children. It makes me feel amazing to be able to accomplish goals that I set out for myself because the old me would never believe enough in herself to even set the goals let alone try to do them. Tomorrow morning I am going to a local yoga studio to take a Vinyassa Flow class! I can’t wait! I’m craving it! It’s the last day of 2011….let’s end it with a bang! Love you girls!!!! Thanks for being constant inspiration! xxoo

Quick update on my Christmas Challenge Goal, I have been sick the whole time, just found out today I have Pneumonia,

My goal was to start my class “Women Struggling with Food” http://www.eatingdisorders.com

I won’t be doing it until I am well.

So please if you pull me, give it to someone else because I am sick. I have also met both of you and hearing you speak and talking to you both and Ben really touched my husband and my life. We pray for all three of you and your ministry and I know you are praying for all the people God puts in your lives, thanks for praying for me.

And I want someone else to be blessed like we have been blessed,

much love
Rose (purplegoldgirl)

Another update… Having a really hard time right now. If ANYONE has any encouraging words, I would love to hear them. My mind is in such a negative place. For so long I was told these things that brought my down and after hearing it for so long, it begins to become reality. I’m fighting to be strong and positive and not let these things get to me anymore, but it’s not going so well. This is NOT how I want to begin the new year…

I was at the gym this morning and I noticed I kept saying “I can’t do this!” I said it multiple times while I was running and also while I was doing planks. I cannot get out of this funk and really really need some motivation and encouragement from you all. I know I’m not the only one who has fought these fights. I’m finally giving in and reaching out. I don’t know where else to turn!

Thanks in advance and any prayers would be more than welcome! Happy New Year to you all and I hope and pray you’re all doing fantastic in your journeys!

Hi Whitney,

I will keep you in prayer. I’ve decided this healthy, fit lifestyle is one of the hardest journeys we will make in our lives – especially when it’s new to us. I think we have to decide what it is we are looking for – what we are striving for and really want & go for it (like you are doing).

When we feel discouraged I find that it is so helpful to watch old episodes of my favorite Biggest Loser. I find that show to be such an amazing inspiration – especially the episodes that have our 2 favorite gals on it (Olivia & Hannah).

Exercise is tough & feels so hard. Sometimes even 20 or 30 minutes seems impossible to me. I listen to a great deal of workout music, but sometimes that just doesn’t seem to cut it.. But in those times I’ve really found the video’s on Olivia & Hannah’s Fitspiration blog pull me through and give me the best workout imaginable. (Thanks ladies, by the way). The videos aren’t long enough for one workout, but on my phone it always takes me back to the whole list of videos and I can just click on another one.

Don’t know if this will help you, but prayers are with you. You are not alone. Let’s all win the fight against obesity.

God bless & Happy New Year,

Crystal Estes
@tcestes4ever

Whitney,

You went to the gym. You did more than a lot of people (probably including me) will do today. If you get 5 minutes on the elliptical that’s 5 more minutes of cardio than you did yesterday. Write it all down. Not only the food journal but an exercise one… just simple, day time and what you did. Look at it at the end of January and remind yourself… it could have been nothing. Just keep going. It didn’t come on in one day. It won’t come off in one month.

Until later
John

Hi Whitney! I was definitely touched by your vulnerability. I just wanted to share with you a couple of scriptures that keep me going:

Romans 5:3-5 (NCV)
“We also have joy with our troubles, because we know that these troubles produce patience.4 And patience produces character, and character produces hope. 5 And this hope will never disappoint us…”

Ecclesiastes 7:8 (NCV)
“8 It is better to finish something than to start it.
It is better to be patient than to be proud.”

The journey of health (and life) is tough! BUT it’s supposed to be! So rejoice that you are developing character and hope…that will never disappoint. Also, better to do a 30 second plank or less, than to say your going to work out and then do nothing. The fact that you get up and put faith into action is great! Negativity, failure, and disappointment, will come and go but the character you are building will be a source of unending joy. What I am working on this year is making health a lifestyle and not a diet. I wanted to lose 10 lbs last year, still not there…BUT I ran a half marathon by myself 10 minutes faster than ever, have my whole family running 5k’s, let go of gluten and refined sugar (FINALLY) and am the healthiest I’ve ever been (especially on the inside). I am confident that everything else will fall into place.

Have a wonderful new year!

Is this the last day of the challenge? It went by so quickly. I did a pretty good job keeping my water intake above 64 ounces a day. When will we get to hear who the winners are?

Hey Hannah and Olivia! You two have NO idea how much you have impacted my life! Okay–my goal (maybe I should start off by not being SOOO last minute….echem…9:40pm December 31st….) but it is to PLAN out my workouts and food. With two year old twins and a husband who has to be deployed and a job, time can very easily get away from me very quickly. You two have showed me that I am important and that if I will be truly dedicated to this, I must PLAN for it! So here’s to the month of January, already squiggled (color coded, obvs!) with my workouts and food. Thanks for being such a fitspiration–and for getting me to FINALLY join twitter:-) Love you gals! -Dana

Sign me up! Happy New Year from the Bay Area! I closed out 2011 with a family 5k followed by a nap…ahhh vacation!

SIGN ME UP!!!! This year has been full of happiness, but definitely had it’s fair share of trials and heartache. It would be the perfect beginning to a new year to be chosen for one of the prize packs! The challenge didn’t go so well for me, but that doesn’t mean I’m going to quit… I have to convince myself I am worth it and will be okay.

Happy New Year!! (Pick me!! 🙂 I even got my nails done purple for inspiration)!

Sign me up!!! I may not have been able to run a much as I wanted to these past few weeks, but having the challenge made me more conscience of everything I ate and did. If I couldn’t get out and run I did an excerise tape, I ate more fruit and vegetables, I made better choices. Seeing the comments daily from the other people just like me reminded me and kept me motivated! You two are such an inspirirtaion and I am so grateful God picked you two to motivate us women! This morning I signed up for my first 5k, thank you for making realize I can do it!

Sign me up!!!

This was SUCH a great challenge, and definitely kept me accountable during the holidays!! Thanks! Hope to Skype with ya soon! 😉

Xoxo

SIGN ME UP!!! I made a great effort at my goal of fruits and veggies only missing a few days but getting back on track right away. Thanks for a great challenge. Hoping to Skype with you ladies!

Please sign me up! I was able to complete this challenge!!! This was such a great motivation to keep me focused during the holidays and actaully be able to make it through without worry (and managed to lose weight!!)

Sign me up!

I enjoyed the challenge and hope to speak with you! I have a lot to learn. Thank you for your motivation and inspiration. You girls are a blessing.

SIGN ME UP!!!! Thank you both sooo much for this challenge! I kept with it and counted calories! It really is an eye opener as to how quickly they add up! I have decided THIS is going to be the best year ever! I am 100-130 pounds overweight, and been struggling with infertility for 7 years (dang PCOS) I have decided that only hard work and determination will get me the thing I want most in life…a family! So here’s to 2012- May it be filled with blessings for all of us!!

I am really thinking of trying out for the next season of BL, and would LOVE to chat with you gals about how much it has changed your life! I have always connected with both of you, as we are close in age and I literally cried when Olivia shared she battled infertility as well.

I REALLY hope I get to Skype! Thanks a million for all you are doing! You are helping to change lives!!!

Following both on Twitter and FB! Happy New Year!!!!!!!!!!
Pick me….Pretty please….with Truvia on top!!! LOL!!!

Sign me up! 🙂 🙂

SIGN ME UP!
when i started this challenge someone emailed me to get involved in the bootcamp i go to and said “i’m scared, you are in such good shape!” I thought her email was mistakenly sent to me instead of one of the other girls there that are super fit. I vowed for the christmas challenge that i would start thinking like the fit girl i’ve become since august and to stop thinking like the fat girl i slowly am putting behind me! I’ve gotten comments at all our holiday and december birthday gatherings up and down about the person i’ve become and have followed with a thank you….realizing every time that even though i still have 20 lbs to go, I am a FIT girl now! and when i have days where i still feel the fat girl inside me, i go to the gym and feel fit 🙂
I am beyond inspired by team purple! thank you for tweeting with me 🙂

Hey ladies, sign me up! I lost 2.2 pounds over the challenge, when normally I would have probably gained that much or more. I stuck to the no diet soda rule and am continuing that into 2012. I really limited my sweets and found that a small bite or portion satisfied me. And I’m discovered the strong woman inside of me that was there all along, so I’m letting her out to play! :o)

Happy New Year everyone!!! xo

Sign me up. I said I was going to invpcrease my frits and veggies. I have done pretty good with it. I am not eating as much as I should be and will continue to increase them

This challenge has really been helping me and I certainly find everyone’s words of encouragement so helpful! In addition to this I look forward to the new season of BL coming up to help motivate me and keep me going whenever I feel as though I can’t continue! Happy New Year everyone!! =))

Sign me up! I met my goal of losing some weight this Holiday Season. But to be honest, I made an addendum to my goal that I posted earlier during this challenge. So I’ve always gone to mass religiously on Sundays all my life until about 5 years ago. I even went every Sunday during my 4 years of college…it was tough some Sunday mornings during those years, but I went. About 5 years ago my best friend learned that her husband of 8 months started to cheat on her and in fact got his mistress pregnant. That is pretty much when I stopped going to Mass on Sundays. It was twofold…I stopped because I was mad at God and because I started to spend a lot of time with her. I was the one person, other than her mother and sister that stood by her through that next year while she was going through her divorce. I spent a lot of weekends at her house because she needed someone there to be her rock. So Mass on Sundays was not priority for me. My addendum to this challenge is to start to get back into the routine of going to church on Sundays…every Sunday. So along with meeting my fitness goals, I am really going to strive to meet my spiritual goals as well in 2012. Thanks for all of the inspiration and motivations girls!! Happy Holidays and peace and love!

SIGN ME UP!!! I have faltered with drinking my water the full 8 cups I intended, BUT, I drank more than I would have if I had not tried!

Hey Olivia and Hannah!
SIGN ME UP!! 🙂 I already follow you on Twitter and “like” you on Facebook! Would love to have the opportunity to Skype with y’all! I have almost met my Christmas Challenge goal of completing the Couch to 5K Program; I would have completed it earlier except that I had inflamed cartilage behind my kneecap which kept me out of the gym for a few days. I have two workouts left to complete the program, so I should be done by the end of the week and then I hope to start jogging regularly! Thank you for the Christmas Challenge; even though I didn’t meet my goal by January 1, I’ve stayed more active and health-conscious during Christmas break than I usually do, and that’s something to be proud of!
Happy New Year!
– Jenna

Sign me up! I was able to meet my goal of working out six times a week and actually made it to the gym every day most weeks. I’m so happy that I was able to have this challenge to motivate me to get out and do something. Congratulations to everyone else who accomplished their goals! Thanks Hannah and Olivia for sponsoring this!

Olivia and Hannah,
Thank you SO much for the challenge. I said on Dec. 9th that I would be in “new” numbers by January 1st (required losing about 8 pounds). Boy, I had my ups and downs, but am proud to say that yesterday morning at WW, I weighed in in NEW numbers!
It was amazing to see what accomplishing a small goal could do for my confidence in my fitness and weight loss goals carrying into the new year.
Happy New Year and thank you for the motiviation!

Sign Me Up! Tea worked better for my sweet cravings than gum. Still stuck with it on nearly every day!
Happy New Year!

Well, I couldn’t run the 5K today in under 40 minutes because I cannot run due to a back injury. However, I did walk it with two of my Uncle’s who are trying to get healthy. Very big deal! Still looking towards April 1 when I will run my first half marathon. God bless you both this coming year!

Sign me up! (With an update …)

My goal was to exercise SIX DAYS A WEEK … and I did! I actually did better than I’d hoped, too, which was lovely. I had been a little worried about coming home for Christmas, because I was going to be treadmill-less for a week, but I walked outside everyday except for Christmas day … twice, more than 12km. And when I got home after Christmas, and back on my treadmill, I discovered I could run further. (I walk, mostly, for at least 65 minutes but have been adding running to the routine: I’m at twelve and a half minutes of running in a 65 minutes work out.)

Also, I grew my goal. I lived in Tanzania when I was young and have thought from time to time about climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro. So, my expanded goal is that that’s what I’m training for now: climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro. It might not be till 2013 but I have to have the trip booked by the end of 2012. Wanna come with me??

Whew! My vacation still isn’t over but I stayed active and continued working out through the holidays. I haven’t mentioned it before but I do follow you both on FB and twitter…hoping for at least a 10 minute call 🙂

my goal is to stop thinking so negative of myself and believe that if I put my mind to it I can accomplish anything including making exercise a high priority in 2012!!!

Sign me up! Started meal planning on the weekends for the upcoming week. Found out holidays are challenging for that!

I’m pretty sure you already have me entered because I committed to this challenge of trying one new thing every day and it made my December WONDERFUL in the way it stretched me and helped me grow in health and fitness. I still have a long way to go but it gave me such hope and I’m excited about the outcomes. But, I REALLY WANT TO WIN a Skype session so just in case you missed me, I wanted to post again.

Sign me up to win! 🙂

How are you choosing random winners?
When will you choose?
How will you notify us all?

I loved reading everyone’s comments and challenges to themselves too. What a great community!

Love you beautiful, strong, and inspiring women!
Smiles, Jeni

1. Set a goal for the Christmas Challenge (and had fun meeting the goal!)
2. I “like” both of you on Facebook
3. I follow both of you on Twitter.

Did I miss anything? Am I entered? Fingers crossed!

Tonight’s the night I think right? So exciting for whoever wins! Fingers crossed and best wishes to everyone! Has anyone heard anything yet? It’s 5 my time but their time in Florida so I’m thinking soon…YIPEE!!!!

I believe it is, Jennifer! It’s 7 pm in Virginia. It’s hard waiting, but if these ladies are anything like me & my sisters they are having such a good time catching up. I’m sure it will be soon. Hang in there. I wish you the best of luck to you too, and everyone else 🙂

Olivia, Hannah, and all participants,

I don’t know about you, but I have loved this challenge. It was a blessing in disguise for me I think. Over the years, I have yo-yo’d and never really made it to a goal of mine. My goal for this challenge was to be consistent with my cardio after working out with my trainer. I must say, I DID IT! And because I did, I met the personal (& major) goal for myself of being under 300 lbs by Christmas. December 22, the scale said 299.5. I DID IT TOO! I subscribed to this feed and the constant e-mails were a constant reminder that I committed to myself (and you) and that I needed to not quit. There was one night especially when I was driving home from work that I was exhausted. 15 hour work days had gotten me and all I wanted was ice cream and sleep. As I pulled into my space at my apt. my phone dinged with a e-mail, and it was one from this blog. So I climbed the stairs (that’s new too) and changed and went back down the stairs (also new) and off to the gym I went. I decided my ice cream would need to be worked off before I could eat it. I gave 115% that night and found the relief I needed from the stress of the day in the treadmill and wouldn’t you know, once my cardio was done I no longer wanted the ice cream.

My journey to be healthy began in mid-september. I know that I have a long way to go, and regardless of if I win this challenge, I will be forever grateful for it. Changed my life…yes, it did!

Best always,
Megs

Good for you, Meg! Congrats on your accomplishments!! I have also enjoyed this challenge and am thrilled with my accomplishments! I am under 200 lbs for the first time in YEARS! It’s been so long I’m not even sure when I first went over 200 and my weight kept climbing higher and higher, but I know it’s been at least close to 18 years since I was last under 200 pounds. My highest “documented” weight was 238. Today I am 194.8 and still working towards reaching my goal.

Best of luck to you & keep up the good work 🙂

Well kids, today is the day! I’m so happy for whoever wins! Sounds like everyone did great! I know I’d love to win, but I’m not getting my hopes up — so many amazing people on here that deserve it more than I do.

Today is the 1 year anniversary of a day that turned my world upside down. I didn’t even want to roll out of bed this morning. But I did. And I saw the sunrise, which was so gorgeous, and it made me realize that everything is going to be okay. And that life does go on, no matter how difficult it may be. I definitely struggled with this challenge and with telling myself I’m worth it, but I know it will be okay.. If not today, then maybe tomorrow. Thank you everyone for your support!!

Good luck to everyone and I can’t wait to hear how the winners enjoyed their Skype time!!

WOW, this has been an exciting journey!!! But I am so happy with the results!!!
I am back into so many of the clothes that I NEVER thought I would ever wear again!!!
I am soooooooooo HAPPY!!!!!
Thanks everyone for your stories and your sharing in this journey!!!
And thanks even more to Olivia and Hannah for offering this Inspiration to make it through all the celebrations and still feel good about my body and what I eat and how I feel!!!
AWESOME IDEA GIRLS!!!
Big HUGS! Renee

I love Hannah and Olivia and the way they inspired us all! It was so great seeing so many people working hard, committing to being healthy in December. And it was so great for me to try so many new and healthy things outside of my comfort zone. I learned to like so many new foods and recipes, I learned that it’s not scary to try spinning (although it IS hard work!), and I learned that I can do so much more than I think I can do. Learning all of these new things in the world and about myself gives me such hope that I can continue this journey and ultimately live a healthy, happy lifestyle for the rest of my life. It is still hard and it is still frustrating but I loved this challenge and appreciate all of you and especially Hannah and Olivia who are dong an amazing job paying it forward and who are SO beautiful, SO strong, and SO inspiring!

Of course, I still hope I win 🙂

Has anyone heard yet? Best wishes! Best of Luck! And congratulations everyone!

I have been checking back here, twitter, FB and my email to see if the winners have been announced, but don’t think so yet. Soo many great testimonies and goals on here, I’m guessing its hard for them to pick the winners! Hoping I’m one of them too! 🙂 Soo grateful for the opportunity! Best of luck Jennifer!

Congrats to the winners! For the rest of us, the good news is that we can enter in the second Christmas challenge in December of this year.

Actually, the really good news is that unless we lied to those two lovely ladies (and I didn’t!), we actually were able to accomplish something! And let it only be a starting point to a successful new year.

Thank you Olivia and Hannah. Or should that be Hannah and Olivia? Either way! 😀

I completely agree with you Robert! I found the challenge so helpful because I was able to stay focused. I also, took an extra step sharing my personal challenge to myself with some of the ladies I work with and family members. I did this because I wanted to be held accountable for my actions. On December 9, 2011 I weighed in at 199 pounds and on December 31, 2011 I weighed in at 196.4. That is not a tremendous amount of weight loss, but my challenge was to do the elliptical 4 times a week for 30 minutes AND not to gain any of the weight I’d already lost! The exciting thing for me is I DID IT! I took responsibility – kept my end of the deal and didn’t gain anything in the month of December… Very happy about that 🙂 And as of my most recent weigh in day I was 194.8. The point is I’m doing it!!! & I’m not backing down 🙂

Good luck to you & everyone else…. & of course congrats to the winners 🙂
